Super Eagles New Players for AFCON 2023

Nigeria has generally had a presence in the Premier League.

From Efan Ekoku to the latest expansion, Joe Aribo, the Super Eagles' presence in the most watched association has stayed one of the many reasons Nigerians expect the arrival of threats each August/September.

The Super Eagles had eight (8) players in the Premier League last season, however with Watford consigning three Nigerians and the approaching takeoff of Leicester City's Ademola Lookman, accommodated with the appearances of Taiwo Awoniyi and Joe Aribo from Union Berlin and Rangers, the super eagles new players.

players. The club will expect Awoniyi to justify the club record fee of £17.5 million. Nottingham Forest's Premier League campaign begins against Newcastle United.

Alex Iwobi (Everton) Iwobi was instrumental in Everton avoiding relegation last season and has emerged as a key figure in Frank Lampard's plans for the 2022/23 season. Iwobi's two goals helped ease the burden on the Toffees' manager. They kick off their season against Chelsea, whom they defeated 1-0 while fighting relegation last season.

Kelechi Iheanacho (Leicester City) Although he was unable to replicate his form from the 2020/21 season, in which he scored 12 goals, Iheanacho remains an important member of Brendan Rodgers' squad.

Because Leicester City has been quiet in the transfer market, Iheanacho faces a less difficult battle for playing time. Patson Daka, Ayoze Perez, and Jamie Vardy are his main rivals for a starting spot.

Frank Onyeka (Brentford) After his first few games with Brentford, Onyeka was demoted to substitute roles after failing to live up to the hype surrounding his arrival in the Premier League. To play regularly, the hard-tackling midfielder will have to outperform Christian Nrgaard and Vitaly Janelt. Christian Eriksen's departure could also help his chances.
