Top 5 Super Eagles new player eyeing for debuts in CIV and Tunisia friendlies In preparation for the upcoming international friendlies against CIV and Tunisia, Gernot Rohr has added a new Super Eagles player to his 25-man squad. Currently rated 29th in the world and 3rd in Africa, the Super Eagles play the Elephants on October 9th, then the Tunisian Carthage Eagles, who are ranked 2nd in Africa, four days later.

The top five Super Eagles new player are as follows: 1.Cyriel DESSERS (KRC Genk, Belgium): As a result of the coronavirus outbreak, Dessers' debut as a Super Eagles new player was postponed until later.

During his first five outings for Genk, the striker has already netted two goals.

2. Mathew YAKUBU (SKF Sered, Slovakia): A relatively obscure goalkeeper based in Slovakia, Yakubu, was discovered during the Super Eagles' search for a quality goalkeeper. His official Fortuna Liga

3.Zaidu SANUSI ( FC Porto, Portugal): Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr is trying to improve the Super Eagles' defense by finding hidden talents such as Sanusi, a Portuguese left-back. At Santa Clara last season, Sanusi appeared in 24 games and scored one goal.

4.Frank ONYEKA (Club: FC Midtiylland, Denmark): As a rising star in Denmark, Onyeka, 22, has made his way up the levels and now plays for Midtjylland's first squad after advancing through the ranks. With two assists in his first two games, he's off to a great start.

5.Samson TIJANI (TSV Hartberg, Austria): In the wake of his spectacular performance at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Brazil last year, the former Golden Eaglets captain was signed by the Austrian premier team Red Bull Salzburg. At Hartberg, he has appeared in two games so far this season and is currently on loan from the club.
