These matches will take place between March 20 and March 28, 2023. Mauritius has lodged a protest against Sao Tome for fielding an ineligible player in a crucial super eagles fixtures.

The player also scored the goal that advanced Sao Tome to the competition's group stage. The top two clubs from each of the 12 groups will proceed to the 2023 African Football Championship in Cote d'Ivoire.

"I will encourage the Nigeria Football Federation to do all possible to guarantee that the Super Eagles benefit from the AFCON," Ekpo told Completesportsnigeria.com.

If the Eagles want to stay in condition, they must play competitive games.

In addition, the coach must keep a watch on the players because errors can arise while they are representing their club teams. He'd then have the chance to think about other options. He must also make the team more competitive in order to get the best out of the players in Super Eagles games.

The History Super eagle of Nigeria

Nigeria played its first legal match in October 1949, while still a British territory, after engaging in unofficial matches against other city states in the 1930s. Prior to their Super Eagles fixtures, the Nigerian Super Eagles played exhibition matches against lower-level teams such as Bromley, Bishop Auckland, and South Liverpool. The team's first significant triumph was a gold medal at the Second All-Africa Games. This was followed by thirdplace results in the African Cup of Nations in 1976 and 1978.

Segun Odegbami and Best Ogedegbe helped Christian Chukwu's squad win the Cup for the first time in Lagos in 1980. In 1996, the Nigerian men's football team won gold in Atlanta, defeating Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico. In a match similar to the one from 1996, they finished second to Argentina at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. Please check our website for more details about Super Eagles fixtures.
