Welcome to Ten Speed Young Reade RS
We started this imprint with one idea in mind : to make reading for parents and kids fun, never a chore or an assignment. And we decided to do this by offering books for a wide range of tastes and interests, publishing new voices to children ’ s books as well as established names and beloved brands. We ’ d make them in the most beautiful or interesting ways possible, so every book would offer an experience that would give the readers a surprise, maybe a laugh, and always something to think about.
In these pages we hope you ’ ll find something for every child, at every age and ability. Whether it’s finding out about the basics of chess or mahjong, discovering how a log could actually be exciting, understanding that asking questions might lead to unexpected answers, or revisiting a classic story in a fresh way, we hope each book sparks something new and exciting in every reader who looks inside. Most of all, we hope each book gives readers an experience they ’ ll want to come back to again and again, so they understand just how much of a joy reading can be.

As Vice President and Editorial Director of Ten Speed Young Readers, Ginee Seo champions picture books and illustrated fiction and nonfiction that resonate with both children and adults. A lifelong comics enthusiast, she gravitates toward humorous, risk-taking work that respects young readers and celebrates their diverse interests. She believes magic happens when a reader connects to words, and she has edited and published numerous award-winning and bestselling books.

Aaron Wehner is Executive Vice President and Director of Business Development for the Crown Publishing Group, Publisher of Clarkson Potter and Ten Speed Press, and launched Crown’s children’s imprint, Ten Speed Young Readers.
Windy Dorresteyn
As the Vice President and Deputy Publisher, Windy Dorresteyn plays a leadership role in list development and publication strategy and execution, working closely with the editorial, design, production, marketing and publicity, and sales teams. Windy has been an avid reader of children’s literature since her youth, when she spent afternoons volunteering at her local library.
