Welcome
With spring just around the corner, we are gearing up for the 10TH Annual Stockmans Choice Bull & Female Sale. It’s hard to believe that we have been selling bulls at the ranch for 10 years now. It feels like just yesterday that Grandpa Gary, Grandma Donna, and Brody were deciding if it was the right time to make the move.
If you got our Christmas Letter (or maybe it was a Valentines Letter by the time it made it to the mailbox) or follow us on social media; you keep up on the happenings around here and we love to be able to share with all of you. We enjoy being able to keep up with your operations just as much!
We sound like a broken record … each year we write our letter at Christmas or the Bull Sale welcome, we say how grateful we are to have had a successful sale the previous year; and that is all thanks to you who choose to do business with us. Each passing year comes with challenges, like all operations, and this year was no different! However, we always look for the good because we do live a real great life! We are healthy, we found enough feed and we got to enjoy the things we love, family & cows. Our family is close by, and we enjoy working with them (all of them; the Smiths, Gardner Livestock and the Simpson Clan); we have awesome neighbours and friends who we enjoy spending time with, and we consider ourselves lucky to gain new friends each year through our business!
This year we added a more full-time role for Dawson Cleveland. We have enjoyed having him around while he was in college and then this summer & fall, we were excited that he agreed to come on with us more permanently! Dawson has been a huge asset to the operation; we have done some huge repairs that we had been pushing off as we hadn’t had the manpower or hours, he has single-handedly looked after the feed wagon this winter and he has been a huge help with the show and sale cattle! The extra set of eyes on calving checks was a massive change for us since we started calving all the cows in our yard a few years ago!
Enough about us, let’s talk about the sale offering! This year we have a stout set of bulls and females that we are very proud of, out of multiple sire groups. Our black bulls are sired by Peak Dot No Doubt 1019G, Murph’s Hot Toddy 2009 (a Payweight Son) and Diamond T Wildfire 2187 (a Firebrand son). Our red bulls are sired by Red Allison Elysium 80J, Red Diamond T Genesis 2170 and Red W Sunrise Authentic 104F. We have come to appreciate these sire groups for so many different reasons. As you read through the footnotes you will learn what makes each bull stand out to us. They have been hand-picked for specific purposes in our program and yours.
We have milking daughters or sisters off almost all the bulls noted, and we are very impressed with the maternal qualities of these females. They are good footed, good structured with great udders that are proving to milk well. These are females we are confident that will produce genetics to better our operation and yours for many years to come.
Our heifer offering in this year’s sale, like every year is a deep set of brood cow prospects out of the same sires as our bull offering; that Justine isn’t excited about giving up. We like to showcase females from each sire group to display the maternal side of the bulls on offer.
You will notice that we have scored the animals for Calving Ease, Foot Structure, Age of Dam and Dam’s Udder/Teat Structure. The Dam’s age is as of this calving year. The reference material for the foot and udder structure you will find at the back of the catalogue.
We continue to work closely with Doug Roxburgh and Bullseye on our nutrition program. With Doug’s steady guidance we are confident the bulls and heifers are developed to last. We are always tough on fertility, structural integrity, and longevity. We also work closely with our veterinarian Hans Riemert of Pioneer Veterinary Services out of Olds & Sundre. The bulls will have been through their Breeding Soundness Evaluation and the heifers will be palpated prior to sale day; they will be ready to go to work for you!
Through the catalogue you will see animals that are 3 years in the making, we continue to work with passion and desire to improve each year. We strive to raise cattle, grow feed, be productive stewards of the land, and build relationships. We absolutely love raising cattle and we are so grateful that we continue to be able to do what we enjoy each day! Not every day is perfect, but there is something good in every day and thanks to you, we get to move forward another year!
Please feel free to reach out for a tour anytime as we inch closer to sale day; we would love to show you through the bulls and their mama’s! We enjoy nothing more than hearing from you, learning about your operation and talking about cattle and family!
We are so proud of our “sight unseen purchase plan”, we are delighted to tour your herds and help you navigate through our program to choose the animal that will fit your breeding scenario the most accurate.
We can’t wait to see YOU and your family on April 2nd, at the Diamond T Sale Yard!
Best regards,
Brody, Justine, Calynn & Hiller GardnerSale

Welcome
The Diamond T Cattle Co “Stockmans Choice” Bull & Female Sale is now celebrating its 10th Anniversary Sale and this program certainly is many decades deep in history of breeding high quality livestock. Brody & Justine along with their kids have took the reigns at Diamond T and have continued to build a top end Angus cowherd and work tirelessly around the clock to grow their successful program. They have a large support system of family behind them that assist throughout the year and this surely is a prime spot to acquire strong cattle from a top family ran operation.
What a set of bulls we have on offer this spring from the Gardner’s as the quality is extremely deep throughout in both the black and red sections. They have done a great job promoting this deep set of bulls up and down the road at many bull congresses that have been well received for their sound structure, excellent haircoats, good feet and overall quality with their consistency. The bulls that hit the show road and the bulls the stayed home all have the same quality in the way they are built. Diamond T does develop their bulls for longevity and ideal in their design. Once again, Brody will be offering a set of heifers that Justine
has reluctantly gave into selling. They are from the keeper pen and a top cut of heifers that showcase the strength of females that you will receive from buying into the Diamond T program. This is the only annual sale that Diamond T sells in and they always offer their best so you can rest assure that you can buy with confidence.
Whether it is red or black, bull or female; there certainly is an impressive set put forth for the decade sale at Diamond T. Be sure to join us on sale day for some great hospitality and a set of sale cattle that will give you a strong ROI. If you can’t make it sale day, we encourage you to visit with Brody & Justine more as they would be happy to visit with you on the offering. Also, our BMS Team are very familiar with the Diamond T program and would be honoured to represent your needs in a professional manner. See you at Diamond T on Tuesday, April 2 to take in a strong set of cattle and great hospitality from a progressive young program.
Best regards,
The Bohrson Marketing TeamSTARS

• This meat-wagon was in our Medicine Hat group and all the cattlemen noticed him for his base width, character and muscle expression
• The dam, 1824, is Justine’s favorite cow on the ranch and has an exquisite udder
• Maternal brothers to Serviceberry and Kinnear’s and a beautiful sister @ Fyten’s
• I didn’t feature the brother last year with a larger picture, and Justine was none too happy, if you don’t hear from me after the catalog comes out, it’s because I did it again…I can’t feature ALL of them!

• Big hip shape, square, dense nature and loaded with masculinity, Elysium 2385 is a top-of-the-pecking-order CALVING EASE bull with an 81 lb BW
• The Six-Mile cow package was purchased in order to gain genetic diversity, maintain foot & udder quality and rely on their maternal prowess and that is exactly what this rascal has in spades
• We have a gorgeous maternal sister retained in-herd that will have a feature calf next year

• This breeding piece has a great CALVING EASE head, smooth front end and is as cool as Hiller on a breakaway
• A maternal brother is breeding at Murray & Bev Rassmussen’s and there is a sweet sister that just calved here the other day

• I don’t know who makes the catalog order around these parts, but to have a bull this good 20-30 pages deep into a book is ludicrous
• The first sons to sell off the $11,000 Genesis 2170 bull that our good friends at Nielson Land & Cattle bought a couple years ago and man, we wish we had 50 more
• A heifer’s first calf with performance data like -1.3 BW (top 10%), +7.0 CE (top 20%), +8.0 MCE (top 20%), +29 MILK (top 10%) this stud is sure to leave a positive impact on your program for generations
• I don’t think we have ever made one that combines a cherry-red color, impressive length, sleek CALVING EASE look and out of a first gestation/fertility driven cow quite like this rascal before
• Foundation 2301 is more than worth the drive west of Olds

Lots of discussion each year about improving forage quality at Diamond T. After testing this years silage I was very impressed with feed quality on farm. It becomes the base to the diets we use to feed and develop the cattle. Developing mineral and protein supplements to fill in the gaps where needed. Changes have been made but the focus on producing functional bulls and females that will last for years to come has not. The bulls feeding program is built to maximize forage utilization and gut health. The bulls are developed on grass with their moms and then moved onto a balanced diet that promotes lean muscle growth. Organic minerals are used to ensure proper immune function and over all health of bulls. The overall nutritional health and development of the bulls and the entire cow herd is of utmost importance and is constantly being tweaked to meet environmental and seasonal conditions. If you have any questions on the feed program at Diamond T, please feel free to call.
Doug Roxburgh Beef Consultant 403-392-4541• What a maternal, CALVING EASE pedigree with Coming In Hot, Magnum and Genesis all wrapped up into one
• One of the more elite heifer-safe options in the offering with loads of rib dimension and a super cool hip shape
• A bull for both pastures as his 77 lb BW is safe for the heifers but he’s got base width and substance to cover those strong cows next year and leave you with a wicked set of calves
• Same cow family as the leadoff Lot 31 Elation bull
