One long-disrupted crossing between Plainsboro and West Windsor is open again, but another nearby crossing — the Clarksville Road bridge — remains closed as state officials work through complex repair challenges.
Mercer County has reopened a key river crossing between Plainsboro and West Windsor, restoring a direct link between the two communities after months of construction. The newly constructed bridge linking Millstone Road in West Windsor and Grover’s Mill Road in Plainsboro officially opened Dec. 15. On the other side of the spectrum, the Clarksville Road bridge in West Windsor, which carries traffic over the Northeast Corridor rail line, has remained closed since early
November, with no timetable announced for reopening. *** The Millstone-Grover’s Mill Road bridge spans the Millstone River and replaces a bridge originally built in 1967 that had been deemed structurally deficient and functionally obsolete.
