FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Our 28th Annual Fun Run will look a little different this year because we’re going Virtual! Our Fun Run will be a month-long celebration encouraging a healthy lifestyle with exercise and family fun! Help us reach our $30,000 goal to benefit the MCS Children’s Education Fund which supports tuition assistance. Each student, along with their family and friends, has an opportunity to set goals and earn prizes while having a great time getting some healthy exercise! Here’s everything you need to know about the 2021 MCS Virtual Fun Run: WHAT IS THE VIRTUAL FUN RUN? • Anyone can register to participate in one of the largest fundraising events for MCS at: www.montessorihawaii.org/funrun • From January 25 – February 19, students will keep track of daily steps using their Fun Run wrist pedometer and their daily log sheet. • Students raise funds and may also collect pledges based on steps or mileage. • MCS will hold weekly competitions to encourage everyone’s participation and fundraising efforts. • Families may collect their sponsors’ pledges and return them to the school office. Please also see “Online Fundraising Instructions” for details on how to personalize your online fundraising page. • All pledge payments and online donations may be submitted up to Monday, February 22, 2021. Final Winners will be announced at our Live Virtual Awards Ceremony on Thursday, February 25. • Every student who raises $100 or more will receive a 2021 MCS Fun Run T-Shirt! Participants are eligible to receive one incentive prize based on their final fundraising grand total. Please see “Incentive Prize Sheet” for more details.
