SPORT SUCCESS Celebration of NSW’s elite athletes from Western Sydney Jessica Fox in action.

HE state’s highest sports honors are revealed on November 20 and four of these athletes are from Western Sydney. The names of the elite sportsmen and women in each of the 2023 Rebel NSW Sports Awards categories have been announced by Sport NSW. The finalists from Western Sydney are: • Four-time Athlete of the Year winner,
paddler Jessica Fox, of Leonay, a finalist for Athlete of the Year. • Australian National Team and NSW Swifts’ netballer Paige Hadley, of Sydney Olympic Park, a finalist for Athlete of the Year. • 2021 Young Athlete of the Year with a Disability winner, para-swimmer Timothy Hodge, of Kings Langley, a finalist for Ath-
lete of the Year with a Disability. • 2022 Team of the Year, Penrith Panthers National Rugby League Club, a finalist for Team of the Year. The ceremony will be attended by the elite of NSW sport and the awards celebrate the achievements of athletes, coaches, administrators, officials, and sporting organisations. Full story: page 6.
