HUDSON – Former U.S. Army land could become a series of duplexes. A proposed development on Bruen Road is headed to the Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA). The Planning Board approved the development, 4-1, with Darryl Filippi opposed. White Pond Development, LLC – the developer – wants to construct 22 duplex buildings on Bruen Road, located along the easternmost edge of Hudson. The homes, billed as an affordable option in a housing market with ever-increasing prices, would be built beside an existing cluster of duplexes. HUDSON – Greg Hikel has held New England Patriots season tickets for 30 years, attending all but four home games in that time – including preseason, regular season, and postseason contests. For his dedication, Hikel, of Hudson, was named the 2025 New England Patriots Fan of the Year. After years of waiting to file an application, he asked a friend to submit his name. The vetting process was lengthy. “Did you know there are 37 questions on this application?” his friend told him. The Fan of the Year clearly had to prove his worthiness: “They asked how long I had been a fan, what I’ve overcome in life, if I had been to an away game, any philanthropic efforts. Then, in November, I got a call from the Patriots telling me I was one of three finalists.” In December, Hikel got another call, inviting him to tour Gillette Stadium and
