Carole A. Duquette, 82

NORTHBOROUGH – Carole Ann (Williams) Duquette, 82, passed into eternal peace on February 17, 2022 at The Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center in North Providence, Rhode Island.

Carole is survived by her three children – Robin A. Duncan and her husband David of Portsmouth, RI; Lisa M. Fuller and her husband Brian of Attleboro, MA; and Michael L. Duquette and his wife Nanette of Shrewsbury, MA. She also leaves her eight grandchildren – Michael, DeAnne, Faith, and Bobby Duquette; Brian Fuller and his wife Angela; Meagan Barletta and her husband Ryan; Sean and Michael Duncan and his wife Elizabeth; and a greatgrandson, Winston Duncan.

Carole was born and raised in Rhode Island along with her five siblings; all children of the late Raymond and Isabelle (Crosby) Williams. She met the love of her life, Larry Duquette of Oakland Beach, RI whom she married in 1960. They settled and raised their family in Maynard, MA where they resided for 30 years, later relocating and retiring in Northborough, MA. They enjoyed 53 years of marriage until Larry’s passing in 2013. For the recent four years, Carole has been a resident and family member of The Branches of N. Attleboro Assisted Living Community.

Carole enjoyed many crafts including sewing, knitting, and writing. She had a keen command of written expression

with a comical and poetic style. But of all her artistic talents, her natural gift was a beautiful singing voice that she shared with her faith and community. Whether singing in the church choir, serving as a cantor at Mass, serenading weddings and memorial services,

Carole’s angelic and harmonious voice touched the hearts of many. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend who cherished her husband and family.

James A. Harvey, 92

WESTBOROUGH - James A. Harvey, 92, of Westborough, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Janet L. (McGlory) Harvey, to whom he was married 73 ½ years.

Jim lived his entire life in Westborough. He was the son of the late Emory L. and Luta L. (Grimes) Harvey. He was a 1947 graduate of Westborough High School where he was captain of the football team. He then attended Waynesburg College in Pennsylvania but returned home to help his father with the family business.

Jim was the CEO of E. L. Harvey and Sons in Westborough. Jim’s courageous attitude and innovative spirit, combined with a strong sense of traditional values, resulted in a highly successful family business and nationwide reputation as a true entrepreneur. He was loved and respected by his employees, customers, and business associates. He was a member of The Congregational Church of Westborough where he served as a deacon. He was a member of the Siloam Lodge AF & AM, Scottish Rite, the Shriners, and was the lead drummer for over 30 years for the Aleppo Temple Oriental Band. Jim was a founding member of the Westborough Community Chorus, a member of the National Solid Waste Management Association, earning national recognition, a President of the Detachable Container Association, and former Chapter Chairman of the Massachusetts Solid Waste Management Association. Jim was inducted into the Waste and Recycling Association Hall of Fame in 1996. In 2006 Jim was honored with the Good Scout Award. He received numerous other local and national awards and accolades.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Lynda H. Walcott of Westborough, James E. Harvey of Westborough, Douglas H. Harvey and his wife, Sarah, of Hopkinton and Steven A. Harvey and his wife, Debora, of Hopkinton: 11 grandchildren, Meredyth, Mark, Joshua, Emily, Lauren, Lindsay, Olivia, Victoria, Paige, Julia and Tess, and 8 great-grandchildren, Jack, Allison, Adrian, Norman, Gianna, Colton, Ada, and Sophia.

Jim was predeceased by his siblings, Elizabeth Lasselle, Alma O’Neil, Robert Harvey, and Martha Smith.

Gregory R. Califano, 70

July 24, 1951 - Feb. 16, 2022 SHREWSBURY - “Vodka Martini, straight up, one olive… only one olive.” Peacefully and surrounded by his family, Gregory Robert Califano passed away on February 16, 2022, at the age of 70.

Greg was not only a state champion, successful cinematographer, and restaurateur, but a devoted husband to Elizabeth I. (Bartolotti) Califano; dedicated brother to Alfred Califano and his wife Nancy, Gary Califano and his wife Cindy; selfless father to his four children, Rebecca and her husband Lance Herbert, Gregory Jr. and his wife Jenny Califano, Emily Pincow Califano, and Alfred and his husband Jamie Mangan-Califano; and unconditionally loved “Nonno” to his eight grandchildren, Ella, Renee, Landon, John, Madeleine, Giada, Asher, and Beatrice. Greg is now at peace with his parents Alfred and Suzanne Califano, his brother Arthur “Artie” Califano, and his sister Suzanne “Bunny” Holiday— a reunited party of martinis, scotch, Manhattans, and perfect rice pudding.

Joseph G. DeMoranville, 53

GRAFTON - Joseph G. DeMoranville, 53, passed away at home February 15, 2022 following a brief illness. He leaves his children Joseph DeMoranville, Jr., Lauren DeMoranville and his wife Michelle (Girouard), his brother Robert DeMoranville and his wife Colleen, Cheryl Geremia and her husband Robert and Michael DeMoranville and his wife Laurie and several nieces and nephews.

Joe was born July 13, 1968 in Providence, Rhode Island, son of the late Joan (Curtis) and Robert DeMoranville. He was predeceased by his daughter Lindsey DeMoranville and grandson Justen Svendbye.

Dan was born in Worcester MA on December 22, 1930, to Albert and Gladys (Lovely) Whitney Sr.

Dan leaves behind four children, Deborah Schuetz, Jean (Rich) McPherson, David (Laurie)Whitney and Lin Whitney, and his nine grandchildren: Derek, Lillian, Jacob, Daniel, Almicar, Haydn, Katherine, Matthew, and Rebecca. Dan was predeceased by his parents, his wife of 60 years, Katherine L., his daughter Patricia, and his grandson Devin.

James A. Koshivos, 21

GRAFTON - “Jake was always there”. If you knew James A. “Jake” Koshivos those words resonate as part of the big loving circle of family and friends he leaves behind as his bright life of kindness, warmth and service tragically was cut short after injuries sustained in a car accident on February 20, 2022.

Jake is survived by his loving parents Katrina (Melwiki) and John Koshivos, his sister Julia Koshivos, his grandmother Popy Koshivos and grandfather Frank Melwiki, his aunts and uncles Peter Koshivos, George and Lori Andrews, Kari Reese, Kelly (David) Cromell, and Marianthe Andrews along with many great aunts, great uncles and cousins.
