David J. Gibbons, 93

WORCESTER - David J. Gibbons, beloved husband, devoted father, and proud WWII Navy Veteran, passed away peacefully at the age of 93 years old on April 8, 2021. David was born in Worcester, the son to the late David J. and Alice (Bates) Gibbons.

In addition to his beloved wife, Virginia Gibbons, David is survived by six children, Alice L. DiPace and her husband Frank of Sudbury, David G. Gibbons and his wife Adelaide of Okeechobee, Fla., John F. Gibbons and his wife Terri of Monument Beach, Ann E. Harmer and her husband Raymond of Bellaire, Mi., Maura V. Keegan and her husband Richard of Rindge, N.H., and Richard P. Gibbons and his wife Judith of Stewartstown, N.H. David was preceded in death by his son, James Gibbons, in 2007 and his brother, John Gibbons. David is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, his daughter-in-law, Laurie (Gibbons) Little, and many nieces and nephews.

Vaughn Kaprelian, 87

WESTBOROUGH - Vaughn Kaprelian, 87, of Westborough, passed away on April 8, 2021 at the UMass/Memorial Healthcare-University Hospital. Born in Worcester, he was the son of the late Karekin and Lucy (Santoian) Kaprelian.

Vaughn was a self-employed Blasting Engineer. He enjoyed playing various musical instruments, bee keeping and was a talented painter amongst many other varied interests. He is survived by three nieces, Susan Lindsay of Brooks, Maine, Leah Fatini and her husband Walter of Centerville, and Alison Lindsay of Westborough, and one grandniece and three grandnephews. He also had many good friends who have been very helpful to him over the past several years, especially John Walden, and, most notably, Paul Massad. He was predeceased by a sister, Virginia “Ginny” Lindsay, and a brother, David Kaprelian.

Douglas J. Nephew Jr., 64

UPTON/GRAFTON - Douglas J. Nephew Jr. has been called upon by the heavens on April 8, 2021 at the early age of 64, following a short battle

of cancer.

Doug will live on through his children, Nicole Berry and her fiancé Daryle Rousseau, Dylan, Ryan, Douglas III, and Jaime Nephew. He was a proud Papa to his grandchildren, Aaron and Lillian Berry, Gillian Calnan, Nathan, Noah, and Sadie Nephew, and his great-grandson, Mason Steele. He is survived by his father, Douglas Nephew Sr., and predeceased by his mother, Joan Nephew. He leaves his brothers, Glen Nephew, Danny Nephew and his wife Jesse, and Darin Nephew and his wife Denise, and his sisters, Joanne Coyle and her partner Beamer and Darlene Price and her husband Robert.

Paul H. Clouette, 59

WORCESTER/GRAFTON - Paul Henri Clouette, 59, passed away on April 12, 2021 at UMass Memorial Medical Center following lengthy declin-

ing health.

He leaves his parents, Gloria (Mathieu) and Regent Pelletier; his siblings, David Clouette, Donna Clouette, and Pamela Minarik and her husband Todd; his children, Kali Clouette, Samantha Ortiz and her husband Reuben; his grandchildren, Nathan Devine and Owen Ortiz; his five nephews, David Clouette, Jr., Jared Ekberg, Nolan Ekberg, Colin Minarik, and Ethan Minarik; and his close friend, Tim McCann, who Paul’s family is sending special thanks to for helping to care for Paul over the past 20 years. He also leaves several uncles, aunts, cousins, and great-nieces and nephews.

Frank G. Michalak, 98

SHREWSBURY - Frank G. Michalak, 98, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2021. Frank was born on Jan. 24, 1923 in Shrewsbury to Stephen Michalak and Mary (Warlinska) Michalak.

Besides his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Jane (Smith) Michalak in 1982; brothers Joseph and “Jack,” Carl, and William Michalak; and sisters Frances Milde, Rose McCardle and Vandis Jewell. He is survived by his beloved children, Frank Michalak II (wife Jeannine and grandson Jonathan) of Mariposa, Calif., and his daughter, Lisa Michalak and her partner Robert Bruzzese of Worcester. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
