2026-2027 Bridge Booklet
Dear Merion Cricket Bridge Members, Welcome all Bridge enthusiasts! This year we will have some new events and opportunities to play bridge. We will start the Fall Bridge season fielding 4 women's teams to compete in the Women's Bride League of Philadelphia. Each team will play at various other clubs and end the year with a luncheon and afternoon of bridge. Duplicate Bridge will be held on most Tuesdays at 12:30 p.m. 24 boards are played and the cost is $7. These are sanctioned games and Master points are awarded to the top players of the day. David rose is our Director and sign up is via the Front Desk. We will be holding special events throughout the year. Check the bridge booklet for upcoming activities. Lessons are given by David Rose every Tuesday at 10 a.m. We will also have advanced lessons on Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m. in the Fall. Check the calendar for dates and times. The cost is $20 per lesson. Friday night bridge will be held in October and November and continue in February of 2027. Shuffle, Deal and play bridge for practice is held every Monday 1-3 p.m. Contact Nancy Groff to sign up. Bridge Instruction Beginner-Intermediate Lessons with David Rose Tuesdays, 10 a.m. Tuesday Bridge lessons will cover Modern standard Bidding, 2 over 1 as well as dealer play.
