The family practice is now a father and son partnership, owned by Dr. Jeff Taylor, his wife Cheryl, and son Dr. Brett Taylor and his wife Candace.

What Interest Prompted the Starting of the Business: When Ralph was 21 years old he worked in his hometown of Grand Ledge, MI as an on foot residential postal delivery man.

During his work with the Postal service he developed inflammatory arthritis in both knees that eventually rendered him unable to walk and he lost his job. Ralph was bedridden, according to his account, for almost 3

months before he was taken to a local chiropractor in Grand Ledge who examined him, put him on an herbal/nutritional regime and began to physically mobilize and treat his knees and spine. Within 6 months, Ralph was fully recovered and able to walk and run.

He went back to work for the Postal service until the fall of 1939 when he moved to Chicago, IL and enrolled in the National College of Chiropractic to complete the doctoral program.

It was a beautiful sight to see, such excitement. Great enthusiasm, contagious joy, unbounded energy, lively music and they were delightful carriers of God's love.

The same energy spilled over into Sunday worship a few days later. Thanks to God for the dedicated leaders, and ready helpers who put on an amazing program of Christian education and a fun time for our children.

The one thing I want to point out is a verbal response the children gave in unison whenever prompted… “Stand Strong!”

Beryl passed away Friday, July 26, 2013 in Kalamazoo.

Beryl was born June 27, 1930 in Midland to Arthur and Frances (Blanchard) Yankle. Beryl graduated from Allegan High School and had worked for Parker Hannifin for 31 years and was a Life Member of the Otsego VFW Post 3030 Ladies Auxiliary. In her leisure time she enjoyed painting, knitting, crocheting and making treats during the holidays for her family. She also adopted rescue dogs and in her early days enjoyed motorcycling. She made sure she had birthday cards for each of her children before she died. On October 9, 1948 she married Robert Quarry who preceded her in death in 2011. Surviving are her children, Maria (Frank) Scarsella of Delton, Roberta (Larry) Karenko of Las Vegas, NV, Steven (Barbara) Quarry of Otsego, David (Diane) Quarry of Allegan, Terry (Jackie) Quarry of Mansfield, OH, Sharon (Joseph) Case of Martin; a daughter-in-law Jo Quarry of Otsego; 17 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Robert Jr., a grandson Justin and her brother Marlowe Yankle.

Services were held Tues, July 30th at

AGE 81 – OTSEGO, MI

Hugh was born November 16, 1931 to Joel and Elberta Davidson of Kalamazoo, Michigan. He passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, July 29, 2013. He attended Kalamazoo Central High School, where he was a star fullback and swimmer. Hugh married his loving wife of 64 years, Janice Buxton of Plainwell, MI. He was a master electrician for the Upjohn Company from 1951 - 1986. Upon retirement, his life began “in full.” He and Janice played golf and traveled, volunteered with North Country Trails and built a second home, the cabin, in Munising, Michigan. The cabin was his respite; he would spend hours sitting in his man cave, hiking, biking, conserving the land and enjoying the woods. While visiting the cabin, one could always find Hugh – just follow the sound of his humming or whistling. Hugh is survived by his wife, Janice and his children Dennis and Carol Davidson (Minneapolis, MN), Luanne and Melvin Valkner (Kalamazoo, MI) and Rebecca and Dick Pasman (Paw Paw, MI); his grandchildren Joel (Erin) Valkner, Matthew (Romelle) Davidson, Emily (Jason) Groth, Keren Valkner, Eric (Piper, Fiancée) Pasman, and Lezley (Nico) Davidson-Lingg; his great grandson Gideon Groth; a sister, and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are a sister and grandson. He has left a legacy of nature lovers. Family and friends will forever smile when they remember Hugh (a.k.a. the Chief). He was a perpetual practical joker & with his wicked sense of humor could weave unbelievable tall tales.

Visitation is Monday, August 5th from 4-7 PM at the family home. A private memorial service will be officiated by Pastor Timothy Seeber of Zion Lutheran Church.

Cremation has taken place.
