Sharon Lynn Rowley, beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2026 at the age of 84 Born to Adam and Viola Cuper, Sharon lived a life marked by strength, resilience, and love for her family Through the years, she created memories that will be cherished by those who knew her and loved her She was preceded in death by her brother Adam Cuper, Jr Sharon is survived by her daughters, Shayne Thompson and Sara Hubbard; and by her cherished granddaughters, Ashley Hackenberg and Kelsey Sluys She also leaves behind her four great grandchildren, extended family members, and friends who will miss her dearly and remember her with affection Those who knew Sharon will remember her for strength, determination, kindness, sense of humor and love of family Her presence touched many lives, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind While we grieve her passing, we are grateful for the time we shared with her and for the love she gave throughout her life May her memory be a blessing and a source of comfort to all who knew her

Eugene Julianus passed away at his home in Otsego on June 26, 2026, at the age of 83 Born on June 4, 1943, in Grand Rapids, he was the son of Peter and Fannie “Peg” (Breen) Julianus Bob graduated as valedictorian from Rogers High School in 1961 He earned undergraduate and master’s degrees in paper science and engineering and educational leadership from Western Michigan University He served his country in the U S Air Force during the Vietnam War He worked in the paper industry and then as a field inspector for the U S Environmental Protection Agency until his retirement in 2020 Bob enjoyed genealogy and spending time with his family at the red cottage on Sylvan Lake Bob had a keen eye for beauty He loved photography, music and fine art He was a strong and dependable man who set forth knowing his course He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Otsego and The Gideons International On November 30, 1974, in Grand Rapids, Bob married Susan Lilly who survives Also surviving are his children, Erin (Seth) McMillan and Hans (Brenna) Julianus; grandchildren, Finn, Eve and Fox; nieces and nephews, Mike (Maureen) Cromwell, Rebekah (Adam) Timmer, Elizabeth (Matt) Pashby, Christina (Josh) Barker, Jessica (John) Colvin, Arthur (Alana) Lilly, and their children He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, John Julianus and Jackie Cromwell A family graveside service will take place at Mountain Home Cemetery in Otsego A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at the First Congregational Church in Otsego Visitation will begin at 11 o’clock and the service will be at noon A luncheon will follow Contributions in memory of Bob may be directed to the First Congregational Church of Otsego or The Gideons International

Louise passed away Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the Wings Home in Allegan She was born on January 14, 1933, in Plainwell, the daughter of Floyd and Evelyn (Bennett) Duffney Louise worked at Rock Tenn Paper in sales until her retirement in 1986 In her free time, she enjoyed cooking, quilting, golfing, playing cards and going out to eat Louise was a devoted long-time member of the First Congregational Church in Otsego and was a proud member of the Golden Girls and Red Hat Ladies She loved telling stories of the past and loved to travel, especially to New York where she visited the Twin Towers and World Trade Center and enjoyed having cocktails at the top She made several trips with her family to Watersmeet, fishing and eating bluegill Hawaii was also a favorite place to visit, a highlight was meeting an actor from Hawaii Five-O On July 11, 1959, in Otsego, she married Lloyd Clawson who survives Also surviving are several cousins, nieces and nephews Louise was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Don Duffney According to her wishes cremation has taken place Friends may visit with Louise’s family starting at 10:00 A M , Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at the First Congregational Church of Otsego, until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 A M , with Pastor Lenny Luchetti officiating Burial of ashes will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery at a later time The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at the Wings Home in Allegan for the exceptional care, comfort and kindness they provided to Louise during her final days Contributions in memory of Louise may be directed to the Wings Home of Allegan or First Congregational Church of Otsego

James “Jim” Sunnerville passed away Monday, June 29, 2026, at his home in Otsego at the age of 97 Jim was born on March 20, 1929, in Grand Rapids, the son of Archie and Evelyn (Jackson) Sunnerville He graduated from Plainwell High School in 1947 He began working at Kalamazoo Stove Company for a year before attending Western Michigan University where he ran cross-country and graduated in 1952 After graduating he worked as a draftsman at Valley Metal then Richard Pierce before spending several years at Tower, Pinkster & Titus until his retirement in 1991 As a younger man Jim enjoyed skiing and snowshoeing as well as hiking and canoeing Jim’s lifelong passion was growing nuts He grew a variety of different nuts over the years on his farm and was a member of the Nut and Fruit Growers Association He was a skilled woodworker who took great pride in crafting and playing mountain dulcimers, along with many other beautiful intricate creations He enjoyed working on tractors, hobby farming and playing chess both online and at the Otsego Library where he mentored many children In 1949 he married Marilyn Lyons and shared over 15 years and 3 children together On October 25, 1968, at Otsego Church of God, he married Donna Mottor who survives Also surviving are his children, Diane Soliz of Arkansas, Jeff (Angie) Sunnerville of Arkansas and William (Sally) Sunnerville of Otsego; stepchildren, David (Kim) Kinsey and Kevin (Pamela) Kinsey; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren with another due soon; 2 step-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Jerrilyn Sunnerville and Elaine Wallace along with several nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his parents great-grandson Daniel Magnusson and siblings, Ernest Sunnerville, Jacqueline Thomas and Patricia Boersema According to his wishes cremation has taken place Friends may visit with Jim’s family starting at 10:00 A M , Saturday, July 11, 2026, at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 A M with Kevin Kinsey officiating Burial of ashes will take place at Hillside Cemetery at a later time Contributions in memory of Jim may be directed to Christian Neighbors

Dale Eugene Schneider, 69, of Plainwell, Michigan passed away peacefully June 29, 2026 in his home surrounded by family Dale was born August 31, 1956 in Allegan, Michigan to Frank and Elizabeth (Stuck) Schneider Dale grew up in Allegan and once he came of age he enlisted into the Navy in February 1974 and worked as a Diesel Mechanic until he was honorably discharged in 1977 He met a wonderful girl at a party one night, then the next day at school they met again at lunchtime This sparked a loving relationship, and he soon married Loretta Goodrich on July 1, 1978
Not long after they welcomed two daughters into their lives, Karinda Kay and Sarah Buchino Dale had many hobbies to fill his time, such as snowplowing, snowmobiling, fixing things, building, and camping His family knows him as helpful, funny, friendly, and loving His grandchildren were everything to him; he loved them with everything he had Dale is preceded in death by his parents and many special friends and family Surviving Dale is his wife, Loretta Schneider; his daughters, Karinda Kay and Sarah Buchino; grandchildren, Jared and Cameron Kay and Breonnah, Catalina, and Damein Buchino; special niece and caregiver, Angie Goodrich; and many brothers and sisters

William H. “Bill” LANE, JR. AGE 96 - ALLEGAN, MI
William Henry “Bill” Lane’s well-lived life ended when he passed away suddenly Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at his home in Trowbridge Township, Allegan County, Michigan, with his wife of 74 years, Virginia Lane, at his side Born September 29, 1929 in Allegan, Michigan, he was the son of the late William Henry Lane, Sr and the late L Belle (Beery) Lane He was an honest man who lived with integrity However, he also could be whimsical and had a wry sense of humor He enjoyed time with family He will be missed Bill attended the Prouty School on 110th Avenue, graduated from Allegan High School in the Class of 1946 at the age of 16, and attended Michigan State University that fall after receiving a scholarship for a short course in animal husbandry In addition to managing his parents’ farm, he had a number of regional jobs - Farnsworth Hardware, Imperial Carving, Bill West furnace installation, Winchester Steel and Pullman Industries He was a foreman at Dog Life in Hamilton from 1954 to 1966; when he and his wife focused on the family farm raising cash crops and expanding into pork production Meanwhile, Virginia established Wil-oLane Farms collie breeding, show and boarding kennel She and Bill worked together on the farm and kennel business Bill was drafted into the United States Army during the Korean War and served from January 18, 1951 to January 17, 1953 He accepted his duty and was proud to become a Paratrooper with the 11th Airborne, 89th Division at Fort Campbell, Kentucky On June 28, 1952, while still serving in the Army, he married Virginia I Brooks who survives They had a close connection and he was often seen reaching for her hand or complimenting her with affection After being honorably discharged from the Army, Bill and Virginia built their home on the Lane family farm They lived in the basement while they labored three years to complete the house where they raised their two surviving children Bill lived his entire life on the family farm, which his parents purchased in 1924 - except for the time he spent riding his BMW motorcycles (with Virginia as his passenger) to many destinations and rallies around the country They traveled to all 50 states, including a motorcycle journey with their son Darl to Alaska and back In recent decades, they spent their winters camping in Florida in their RV meeting up with friends to tour on motorcycle, bicycle and hike They also enjoyed a week or two during the summer in Grand Marais, Michigan, which “felt like home” to Bill Just two years ago he drove the RV to the UP He stopped riding his motorcycle in his mid-80’s and developed new hobbies, including starting each day with fresh coffee and a cinnamon roll He was also adopted by his beloved cat, Posey, who kept him company and kept him busy He and Virginia enjoyed patrolling the farm on their John Deere Gator and performing needed work in their woodlot The Lanes each have their own chainsaw and have spent much time over the years cutting and splitting wood Grandpa Lane led many expeditions around their property with the Gator loaded with grandchildren and great grandchildren who delighted in his tours The couple each has their own riding lawn mowers and are a familiar sight mowing their large lawn and the roadsides of their property as recently as a week or so ago Physical work, attention to diet and herbal supplements, a good marriage plus a streak of determination all contributed to him remaining very strong and active well into his 90’s In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by his children, Nancy (Rick) Johnson and Darl (Rosemary Sue) Lane; grandchildren Samuel Johnson, Rich (Pam) Johnson and Lisa (Larry) Osiecki Grandpa Lane leaves behind many great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren as well as many special nieces and nephews Along with his parents, Bill was predeceased by his brother Calvin Lane, an infant son Daniel William Lane (d 1953), grandchildren Lauren Kogge Lane and Carter William Lane A memorial visitation was held Wednesday, July 1, from 5 to 7 p m at Gordon Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, 528 Trowbridge Street, with an opportunity for sharing at 6 p m Bill was laid to rest privately in Rowe Cemetery in Cheshire Township in the same plot as his parents and his infant son Arrangements by Gorden Funeral Residence - Allegan Messages of condolence may be posted at www gordenfuneral com

They did so at a great pr ice Here are just a few examples among the 56 who signed this histor ic document Five signers were captured by the Br itish as traitors and were tor tured to death Two lost their sons who ser ved in the Revolutionar y Ar my Another had two sons who were captured Nine of them fought and died from wounds or hardships of the Revolutionar y War

Does God still do miracles today? There are biblical miracles‐ parting the sea, healing the blind, multiplying bread and fish, and Jesus raising his friend, Lazarus, from the dead There are historical miracles‐ revivals in all sorts of places where thousands of people would come to faith and many of them get healed But does God still have the potency to do miracles today? Or has he gotten old and decided to retire to a condo in Florida to talk about the good ol’ days when he used to have the power to do some really cool stuff like raise the dead, part the sea, make the lame walk again, you know, cool stuff like that Does God still have the goods, the power to do miracles today? If God still does miracles, what miracle would you ask for today? God save my marriage, help me to find a meaningful job, rescue me from this depression, or heal this illness Maybe you feel desperate for God to do a miracle Let me introduce you to a desperate man who needed a miracle In Mark 9:15‐29, we encounter a desperate dad whose son is in a bad way The boy was experiencing physical, mental, and spiritual torment And the dad can’t do anything to help his sick son Some of you know what it feels like to watch someone you love suffer and you can’t do anything to stop or slow the suffering That’s how the dad in Mark 9 felt
Jesus said to the dad words that, in my opinion, we 21st century Americans especially need to hear Jesus said, “everything is possible for him who believes” (Mark 9:23) Jesus is suggesting that there is no dire circumstance, no hopeless situation, no impossibility that God cannot make possible! Jesus didn’t say “everything is possible for him who can think his way through the situation, or who can work his way out of the bind he is in ” Jesus is saying, “if you believe in God so much so that you have placed your life squarely and confidently in his hands, then you will never ever find yourself in a situation in which it is impossible for Him to do a miracle ”
It seems to me that it is better to live with faith that God has the power to do anything than to live plagued by doubt that God can do anything at all Christians, let’s live as if we believe our God is potent not impotent; let’s live as if we believe that, at any moment, Christ can come on the scene of your situation and do a miracle It might not be the miracle you want, but it might be the miracle you need Keep taking your crisis to Christ! I have bible verses and 80’s song lyrics running through my mind constantly (If there’s an 80’s music recovery group somewhere, let me know) I can hear Journey echoing Jesus’ words to this desperate dad‐ “don’t stop believin’” that God has the power to anything anytime anywhere for anyone who trusts in Him
