“CHILDREN TALK TO GOD”

By Rev. Dan Minor - revdminor@att.net _____________________________________ “He took a little child and had him stand among them. Taking him in his arms, he said to them ‘Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me…” - Mark 9:37 Jesus loved children. He welcomed them.

Adored them. Blessed them. One day in Judea people were bringing their children to Jesus to have Him touch them and bless them. Sadly, the disciples rebuked them and probably said something like, “Go away, can’t you see He is too busy for you?”

Jesus called them out saying, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these” (Mark l0:13-14). We would all do well to be more childlike in our faith, our homes and in our nation.

That said; look for the common theme in these examples of children talking to God:

“Dear God, My dad can never get a fire started on the grill. Could you please make a ‘burning bush’ in our yard?” - Sherry

Tammy passed away unexpectedly on July 17, 2018 in her home in Tennessee. She was born September 26, 1962. Tammy is survived by husband James (Tom) Boyett, parents Larry Sr. and Judith Meyer of Otsego, one sister Terry Meyer of Holland and one brother Larry Meyer, Jr. of Paw Paw. Tammy was also blessed with three children and two step-children: Jeremy Kincade, Joshua Kincade, Tamara Kincade, Matt Boyett, and Ginny Boyett. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, three nieces, a nephew, and many friends like longtime friend Josie Saucedo (Herrington) since first grade. Also very special to Tammy were her two dogs, Ginny and Scooter. Per her wishes, cremation took place in McMinnville and no service will be held. Tammy was a free spirit known for her love for the earth, wind and fire. Fly free….fly free

for the outpouring of love and kindness I have received and continue to receive from so many people since the sudden loss of my husband, John. I am so blessed to be surrounded by such a loving, caring family, great friends and wonderful community.

We celebrated John on June 30 (the hottest dayâ&#x20AC;Śhe would've loved it!) with a golf outing, THE FLATT STICK OPEN, at the Lynx. All proceeds were donated to Christian Neighbors.
