Marie MAHIEU AGE 87 - KALAMAZOO MI

Marie Grace Mahieu passed away peacefully on July 9, 2023 surrounded by family Marie was born on October 17, 1935 to Abraham and Ruth DeRuyscher in Kalamazoo Michigan She attended Kalamazoo Central High School and graduated in 1954 Before that, however, she met the love of her life Gordon Mahieu in 1952 on a "blind" date and the rest, as they say, is history On June 7, 1958 they were married and made their home in Kalamazoo, Michigan for 65 joy filled years Marie was an avid reader and a loving wife, mother and grandmother She is survived by her husband Gordon, son Tim (Kathy) Mahieu, daughter Susan MahieuPhillips (Greg) as well as her grandchildren Mitchell Phillips, Emma Phillips, Grace and Gus Mahieu and her sister, Nancy Nethercutt She was preceded in death by her parents Friends may visit with Marie’s family starting at 2:00 P M , Friday, July 14, 2023 at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego, until the time of the funeral service at 3:00 P M , with Rev Thomas Davenport and Rev Mike Tupper officiating Burial will follow at Mountain Home Cemetery in Otsego Contributions in memory of Marie may be made to the Kalamazoo County 4-H Program

Jeanne Kay SPAGNOLI AGE 79 - PLAINWELL MI

Jeanne Kay Spagnoli (née Livingston, formerly Beilby), 79, of Plainwell, passed away peacefully on the morning of May 15th, 2023 after a long and valiant battle with cancer Jeanne was born on August 3rd, 1943 in the former Plainwell Hospital to Ronald and Ruth (Graham) Livingston Jeanne was primarily a homemaker, except for earlier in her life when she worked behind the counter at Dean’s Ice Cream, but she later in life spent a number of years at McPherson Plastics in Otsego Jeanne had varied interests in her life; for many years she was a member of the Hope Lutheran Church of Plainwell, was also a member of the Chula Vista Garden Club, and learned computers and painting, but what she valued most in her life was her family Jeanne was a devoted mother to her three children and grandma to her two grandsons Jeanne loved spending time with her family She also loved animals, and cherished her cats Jeanne was resilient and strong, but also down to earth and loving She was preceded in death by her son, Steven, in 1989, and her mother, Ruth, in 2001 Surviving is her father, Ronald Livingston of Plainwell, her brother, Robert Livingston of Otsego, her son, William Barast (Matthew Woods) of Ypsilanti, her daughter, Teresa (Patrick) Beals of Plainwell, her grandsons Alex Beals of Plainwell, and Adam (Teri) Beilby of Martin, and her great-grandchildren Addison, Austin and Maesyn In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made in Jeanne’s name to your local animal shelter A memorial service will be held at the Hope Lutheran Church in Plainwell on July 29th, 2023 at 11am with a memorial luncheon to follow

Dolores HALL AGE 87 - MARTIN, MI

Dolores passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 in Kalamazoo County Dolores was born on November 16, 1935 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Robert Winebrenner and Marion (Grey) WinebrennerWhen she was 11 years old she moved to Oregon with her family She graduated from North Bend High School in Oregon in 1954 After graduation Dolores moved back to Michigan In 1958 she met Dale Hall who became her husband on December 31, 1960 She was a loving and caring in-home babysitter from 1974-2008 Dolores enjoyed spending time with her family Her grandchildren were her world She was preceded in death by both parents, her son Dale Hall II (January 15, 1989) and he r h u s b a n d D ale Hall I (December 13, 2013) Dolores is survived by her brother Robert (Connie) Winebrenner, niece Kim (Brian) Sproul, children David Hall, Debbie (Bob) Canfield, Dana Hall and Diana Hall She has 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren She was loved by so many Funeral Services will be held at a later date
