The Team Leader role will be a working leader and should have a proven track record of leading a team to reach its goal. A successful candidate in this positon will have excellent communication skills to provide training and daily direction to the team. As a Team Leader you will manage the flow of day to day operations ensuring deadlines are met. Candidates must be outgoing and people friendly, motivated and able to multi-task, as well as able to work with a deadline. As a working detailer you must be extremely thorough cleaning, polishing and waxing the automobile, both inside and out, to produce a show-quality level of detail. This position also ensures that all vehicles are prepped for delivery, clean and on time while adhering to the department delivery schedule. The Detailer will also cautiously move cars on the property organizing them in a presentable manner. This will be a full time position working the following schedule with additional hours as needed to exceed customer expectations: Monday: 9am-8pm, Tuesday/Wednesday: 11am-8pm, Thursday: off, Friday 9am-6pm, Saturday: 9am-4pm

If you are over the age of 60 and are not on the Otsego Township permanent Absent Voter list for the elections and would like to be put on the list please call the Otsego Township office at (269)694-9434. Since the legislature took away the straight party voting, the November ballot may take a long time to vote and there will be long lines in the precincts. It would be to your advantage to be able to mark the ballot at home instead of in the precinct. It is also important to vote in the August Primary Election since a lot of the county positions will be determined at that time. Memorial Day (Decoration Day) can be traced back to the War Between the States. Although founded by General John A. Logan (1868), one source suggests the first observance was really dedicated to peace and reconciliation. It originated in the South when mothers and wives of the Confederate dead went about decorating the graves of their lost sons and husbands. However, they soon noticed that many of the graves held soldiers from the Union Army. Knowing that loved ones from the north would not be able to decorate the graves of their loved ones buried in a southern cemetery, these southern women set about crossing geographical boundaries by decorating the graves of the Union soldiers as well. While our young nation was at war, these courageous women found ways of waging peace and reconciliation. This lends new meaning to the words of Christ “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called Sons of God” (Matthew 5:9). Peacemaking is the most Christ-like thing we can do.
Our nation was built on the foundation of freedom. Thus, as we honor the memory of those who fought for our freedom, let us also plant flowers of love and kindness. Whether we are talking about peace among nations, or working to improve the quality of life for those less fortunate, or seeking to heal broken relationships, or inner peace, or peace with God; let us be sure we are building upon the right foundation. “For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.” - I Corinthians 3:11
