As a working detailer you must be extremely thorough cleaning, polishing and waxing the automobile, both inside and out, to produce a show-quality level of detail. This position also ensures that all vehicles are prepped for delivery, clean and on time while adhering to the department delivery schedule. The Detailer will also cautiously move cars on the property organizing them in a presentable manner. • Last year we fed 833 households which totals 2,357 individuals and 2,621 pantry visits • Each month that a client visits our food pantry they are given 5 days worth of food for each member of their household • Clients get to choose their food items they aren’t simply handed a food box • Our pantry offers not only non-perishable goods, but also frozen meats, eggs, cheese, butter, bread items, and fresh produce (when available/in season) • In addition to food, clients receive personal care and household items (shampoo, diapers, toilet paper, etc.) which food stamps do NOT cover.

While there is nothing wrong with bettering oneself or finding success, Jesus reverses our values by coming down to us, leaving the glory of heaven to live among us by taking on the form of a servant (John l:14; Philippians 2:7). Our Lord would not be considered successful by modern day standards. He was born in poverty and did not have any of the things we think we need to have in order to be successful: money, higher education, power or possession. At the cross they gambled for the only article of clothing to His name and the only status He had was a cross upon which He died for our sins. He focused His earthly ministry on persons who had little or no social status including women and children, tax collectors and harlots. He ate with sinners and condemned the religious establishment for their hypocrisy and selfrighteousness.
All He asks in return is that we love Him by loving others (John 13:34, 35) and that we serve Him by serving others (Matthew 25:40). It’s about service. We are not called to be holier than others, but to be humble servants. A man died recently and people came to his funeral. The common theme was how he had reached out to them. One said, “I was at home recovering from surgery and he came to us with a bag of groceries.” Another said, “I was his garbage man and he always invited me in for a cup of coffee and donuts.” One of his grown daughters said, “Just recently, when my father heard that I was home recovering from my time in the emergency room, he came and sat with me.”
In another passage, Jesus said, “…whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant” (Mark l0:43). May it be so for us!
