The Batter is Just A Boy
at the plate, with his heart pounding fast
The bases are loaded, the die has been cast.
Mom and Dad cannot help him, he stands all alone.
A hit at this moment, would send the team home
The ball meets the plate, he swings and he misses
There’s a groan from the crowd, with some boos and some hisses.
A thoughtless voice cries, strike out the bum.
Tears fill his eyes, the games no longer fun.
So open your heart and give him a break.
For it’s moments like this, a man you can make
Please keep this in mind, when you hear someone forget He is just a little boy, and not a man yet Author unknown
writes “be
nothing,” he tells us to pray and that if we pray there will be peace There
if you are Anxious then Pray and you will have Peace APP! I know this sounds like a simplistic solution to a complex problem, but it really does work When I become anxious about something, usually regarding my kids, I can bring it to God in prayer Prayer is not a mindless litany before a meal, “Rub-a-dub-dub, thanks for the grub ” True prayer is getting still and knowing that God is God; Prayer is communion with the God of the universe When our anxiety leads us to praying, not pouting or posting, it gives God the chance to whisper in our ears, “Trust me to do for you what you can’t do for yourself I love you and I’ve got this ” When I hear God’s assuring whisper and believe it to my core, there is peace And you can have that peace too, no matter what chaos is going on around you
You are loved,
~ Pastor Lenny Luchetti
