Jamunamaratur vision center In 2009, Vignesh* had a tragic fall from a coconut tree. With surgery and rehabilitation in CMC Vellore, he was ready to get back to life in a wheelchair. His disability did not come in his way. Vignesh worked as a coolie and supported his family. Today his older son is a mechanic and his younger son is studying in college. Mr. Vignesh was recovering from his tragic fall with the help of the rehabilitation institute. Unfortunately he was beginning to lose his eye sight. After examination it was evident that he required cataract surgery for both eyes or he might lose his eye sight entirely. He was referred to Schell Eye Hospital and with support from friends and well-wishers, the department was able to perform the surgery free of cost.
