Use ‘people first’ continuous pavement crossings to cete a ring of safe access around the town square, and a sense of pedestrianisation
Make use of the bus stop section to add TIC information, new planters for better screening etc
Boojums and the Library become key destinations in the new square Make better use of viewpoint seating areas
Develop the wide pavement corners into more usable and appealing spaces, reorganise obtrusive planters, add seating and signage, commission public art
Reorganise the run of roadside parking spaces, including redundant taxi bays, to add parklets, rain gardens, additional pedestrian seating etc
Incorporate the cafes and beach front into the town square ‘vibe’
