HApril 2026 - Welcome to Your Place, your newsletter about Place Shaping on Shadsworth.
Development update – Knuzden Brook and Gleneagles
Work is underway on new homes at Knuzden Brook and at the former Gleneagles Court.

Since our last update, there’s been steady progress across both developments:
• Groundworks are now finished in several areas, with foundations in place for a number of new homes.
• Timber frames are starting to go up, giving the first real sense of how the homes will sit within the neighbourhood.
• Over the next few months, you’ll see more activity as buildings take shape, roofs go on, and work begins on external walls and internal fittings.
The first homes are expected to be finished and ready for handover this summer, with more following as construction moves forward.
What’s happening next on site?
• Installation of additional timber frames across the developments
• Roof structures and external walls being completed
• Windows and doors beginning to be fitted
• Internal works starting within some of the properties

We’ve recently noticed more dog fouling on the MUGA in Shadsworth Park. This space is for everyone to enjoy, and it’s really important that all dog owners pick up after their pets anywhere in the park.
By taking a moment to clean up, you’re helping keep the park safe, pleasant and welcoming for the whole community. Thank you for doing your part to look after this shared space.

Shadsworth litter pick
Our teams headed into Shadsworth for a community litter pick, tackling everything from ginnels and grassy areas to hedges and fences.
By the end, over 300 bags of waste had been cleared away, leaving the neighbourhood looking cleaner, safer and far more welcoming while showing what can be achieved when people work together.

There’s plenty going on over Easter and throughout the week at Shadsworth Hub.
