FIELD LANE

April 2026
Welcome to Your Place, your newsletter about Place Shaping on Field Lane. Development update
Our contractor, Seddon Construction, is making great progress on the 92 new homes being built in Field Lane and the development is really starting to take shape.
Phase 1, which will deliver 53 new affordable homes, is well underway.
Foundations have been completed in several areas, and timber frames are now going up, giving the first real glimpse of what the new homes will look like.

Demolition for Phase 2 is now finished, clearing the site where 52 one bedroom flats once stood. This work has prepared the area for the next stage, with construction for Phase 2 due to begin next month.
Alongside the new high-quality homes, we’re also investing in the wider neighbourhood.
Residents can look forward to improvements to footpaths, local parks and shared spaces, including upgrades at Burnsall Road Park and the Arncliffe Centre.
Work will also begin on new waymarked walking trails to support exercise, wellbeing and a stronger sense of community.

Site Update: Mud on roads and footpaths
We know construction traffic has led to some mud being carried onto nearby roads and footpaths.
We understand this can be inconvenient, and we want to reassure residents that we’ve already taken steps to reduce the impact.
To help keep the area as clean as possible, the following measures are now in place:
• Daily UBU road sweeper visits (Monday to Friday) for the foreseeable future
• Ongoing use of the groundworker’s road sweeper on site
• Re stoning of key access and exit points with clean stone to limit mud being transferred
• Temporary stoning of worn grass verges to help prevent mud spreading onto surrounding roads and pavements
We’ll continue to keep a close eye on the situation and introduce further measures if needed.
Thank you for your patience and understanding while this important work continues, your support really helps us keep the project moving forward as smoothly as possible.
