Join a crew of brilliant and talented caterers and showcase your culinary offerings while supporting a meaningful cause.
This event will feature 4-5 vendors serving Central American cuisine, with each providing a small plate for guests to sample. The event will be an interactive culinary experience where attendees will visit each vendor station to taste the offerings, then vote for their favorite dish, with the winner announced during the program.
Vendors will be honored as sponsors if they provide catering either at a discounted rate or at-cost for the event.
Each vendor will serve a signature dish inspired by Central American cuisine, with portions sized to fit on a standard dessert plate (e.g., a small piece of chicken over rice and beans).
Guests will visit each vendor’s station, sample their dishes, and vote for their favorite. Voting results will be revealed during the event program.
Vendors should plan to serve around 100 guests and bring necessary catering trays, warmers, and staff to serve at their station. Common Hope will provide plates and silverware.
You are invited to craft or offer a beverage that complements each dish served by the food vendors. This provides an exciting opportunity for beverage companies to enhance the guest experience with tailored drink pairings at each station.
Common Hope promotes hope and opportunity in Guatemala by partnering with children, families and communities who want to participate in a process of development to improve their lives through education, health care, housing and family development.
We believe that where there is education, there is a way forward. It is likely that if a student graduates from high school, they not only can lessen the effects of poverty, but they can often have a positive impact on the whole family. A high school diploma significantly increases the chances of employment and can lead to necessary systemic change in Guatemala.
Common Hope, in collaboration with its partners, recognizes the pivotal role education plays in reducing the effects of poverty on Guatemalan families. For nearly four decades, Common Hope has significantly improved the graduation rates of thousands of students by facilitating programs that support the student outside the classroom. Now is the time for you to get involved and reduce the effects of poverty on Guatemalan communities.
