RITA’S ITALIAN ICE & FROZEN CUSTARD OF FARMINGTON HILLS at 11 Mile & Middlebelt is no longer under supervision of the K-COR/Vaad Harabbonim. RITA’S OF LATHRUP VILLAGE on Southfield Rd. bet. 11 & 12 Mile remains under supervision, as Dairy non-Cholov Yisroel. The Italian Ices contain only pareve ingredients and may be eaten after meat.

KORDAS’ brand BREADS, ROLLS AND BUNS from Metropolitan Baking Co. that bear the K-COR symbol are again Pas Yisroel.

DOLE SALADS (Garden Salad, Coleslaw, Red Cabbage, etc.) are no longer OK certified and will not bear a recommended certification (except for limited special productions distributed by J.R. Produce which will continue to bear the OK symbol next to the date code). This change will also affect store brands that are produced by Dole, such as Marketside [Walmart], and Kroger and Little Salad Bar [Aldi] in some areas.

AM FRESH NORTH AMERICA GRAPEFRUIT sold at Costco are produce of Israel as stated on the plastic bag closure and on the case, and require taking of Terumos and Maaseros.

LAKE CHAMPLAIN CHOCOLATES is no longer Star-D certified as of March 1. Product presently in stores bearing the Star-D symbol was produced before this change and is certified.

Cauliﬂower Onion Rolls

1 medium cauliﬂower riced (about 3 ½ cups)

1 small yellow onion - diced super small

½ tsp sea salt

¼ tsp white pepper

DIRECTIONS INGREDIENTS

½ tsp sweet paprika

2 large eggs

¼ cup + 1 Tbsp Almond meal Your simcha can become more than a milestone it can become a mitzvah!

1. Preheat oven to 400° and line a heavy baking tray with parchment paper.

2. Cut the end off cauliflower, cut through the core and then break into smaller pieces. Place ⅓ of the cauliflower pieces into the bowl of a food processor fitted with the "S" blade and pulse until the cauliflower is in super small pieces. (The finer consistency will produce more of a roll type texture.)

3. Continue in batches until all cauliﬂower is "riced."

4. Transfer cauli-rice to a large bowl and mix in salt, pepper, paprika and 1 Tbsp of onions.

5. Beat the eggs until frothy and add to mixture. Mix well. Then add in ¼ cup of the almond meal to soak up the moisture from the eggs. Add another Tbsp of almond ﬂour if the batter is too liquidy.

6. Form mixture into 8 evenly sized balls. Push each “roll” down gently with the back of a fork. Sprinkle with remaining onions and additional coarse sea salt if desired.

7. Bake for 30-35 minutes depending on thickness.

8. Serve warm or at room temperature.

* Already riced cauliﬂower (fresh or frozen) does not work as well as the pieces are not "riced" small enough to make it a good texture. Pesach Linking our ^ table to yours

His empathy for his brethren in World War II energized him to leave his prominent position as the Rav in Seattle to join the Vaad Hatzalah bringing hope to survivors in DP camps.
