We strive to offer religious and cultural food choices to our patients. We are aware of concerns about delivery of kosher meals. Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital does offer a kosher menu and kosher meals. The kosher menu can be accessed by contacting any unit nurse. Additionally, patients can order challah rolls for Shabbat. Our Jewish chaplain, Rabbi Jeremy Yoskowitz, is available to discuss any specific religious needs and works closely with our nutrition services team to meet religious dietary needs.

We remind the community that we stock and maintain three cabinets with kosher food and religious supplies at Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital in Royal Oak. * 2 cups Greek plain yogurt (or vanilla) * 1 cup granola * 1/4 cup honey (or maple syrup) * 1 cup mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries) * 1/2 cup bananas (sliced) * 2 tbsp almond slices

Directions:

1. Start with the yogurt as your base.

Divide half of the Greek yogurt evenly between two serving glasses or bowls. Drizzle each with 1 tbsp of honey or maple syrup (adjust according to sweetness preference) 2. Spoon a layer of granola over the yogurt and honey in each glass, reserving a bit to garnish the top. Add a layer of mixed berries next, distributing them evenly between the glasses.

3. Place a layer of sliced bananas on top of the berries. Divide the remaining yogurt between the two glasses, layering it over the bananas.

4. Finish off with the remaining granola, a final drizzle of honey or maple syrup, and a sprinkle of almond slices or chopped nuts for an extra crunch.

5. Enjoy the parfait immediately for the crunchiest granola texture, or refrigerate for up to an hour to allow the flavor to meld.
