GDH Celebrates

Black History Month

GDH HAPPENINGS Dear Family and Friends, We have had a busy February with our GDH programs! This month we focused on Black History Month. We asked each of the houses to create programs that would teach their individuals what this month represents. We offered full creativity to our group day hab staff to find ways to engage each person in their educational crafts and programs.

We also celebrated Mardi Gras this month with each of our programs. We talked about the history of Mardi Gras and celebrated with mask making, beads, photo props, and colorful cupcakes decorating.

Another focus of the month was Valentine's Day. We chose to set a goal of making 100 cards to distribute to seniors to help them celebrate with us. We had some amazing cards and creativity with this project.

We are so happy we could spread some love and joy this month!
