A Special Message from Mrs. Santarpia Dear Rolling Hills Families, We hope you are having a wonderful summer full of rest, relaxation, and time with family and friends. The staff and I are excited to start the new school year, and look forward to seeing the children and their beautiful smiles! This year is sure to be filled with wonderful opportunities and the staff and I cannot wait to learn and grow with you. As the summer months wind down, I want to thank the entire staff at Rolling Hills for all of their hard work in preparing for the upcoming school year. The classrooms and hallways are gleaming and we are eagerly awaiting your arrival! Kindergarten students, we hope you join us for the PTA Kindergarten Playdate on Wednesday, August 28th. You will have a chance to meet some new friends! To all students and parents, please plan to attend our Visitation Day on Tuesday, September 3rd from 10AM-12PM. The teachers will be there to welcome you and you will get to see your new classroom! They will help you organize your school supplies so if you did not purchase the PTA kit, please bring your supplies with you. We are looking forward to watching the children grow as learners over the course of the year, as we are confident that it will be a productive and successful school year. Class Placement Information and the Parent Portal Class placements will go out toward the end of August. Please keep in mind, they will not be mailed home. In an effort to “Go Green”, the class placements will be loaded to the Parent Portal. In addition, the Emergency Contact Card needs to be completed on the Parent Portal prior to the first day of school. In addition to viewing your child’s class placement information, your Parent Portal account provides you with access to your child’s attendance, report cards, the ability to update Emergency Contact Information at anytime, and more. If you do not have an account, please email a request to: parentportal@commack.k12.ny.us. Be sure to include your name, your child’s name, your child’s birthday, phone number you can be reached at, and the school he or she attends in the email.
