“Whats for Dinner?” is somewhat of a love letter to food. Ever since my roomates and I moved away from home, it’s been very difficult for us all emotionally, we end up spending so much time in our rooms away from eachother, and the only time we get together and talk and socialize is dinner time. We always look forward to dinner time, it’s a time to laugh, share stories and eat our favorite foods. Food brings us comfort and we want to share this comfort and love for food with everyone. Every part of the dinner making process is a social experience, from getting the groceries together to cooking dinner to laughing over dessert, they’re all moments I cherish and hold close to my heart.

Let’s start by going shopping! We need to get some groceries. I love neon light signs, and there’s something so charming about this one in particular. This upper-case “P” can be seen at Henderson Place in Coquitlam. This font mimics handlettering, an example of such traits stems from the curved and continuous tail that mimics that of a handwritten one.

This font appears to be custom, however of avalible fonts it it most similar to Annabelle JF and Mrs Saint Delafield.

This bakery has been my favorite ever since I was young, and I’m a big fan of their rice cakes. This bakery reminds me of my childhood and I’m so grateful I am able to share this with my roommates. This bakery can be found at Henderson Place in Coquitlam.

Now that we’re back home and about to start cooking, how does a lovely cabernet sauvingnon sound with dinner? Not good for us, we’ve had this bottle of wine for nearly a year, it was a housewarming gift but we hate drinking wine, so we’ll use it for cooking our pasta sauce tonght.

This font and colour selection might be easily recognizable as the no name brand. This brand uses a lowercase Helvetica against a bright yellow background to stand out, their branding and identity expands so far that it is so consistent. When you see lowercase Helvetica against a bright yellow background, you know it’s no name, no name is a common food brand that can be found in our pantry

This beautiful font can be found on a White Rabbit candy wrapper (my favorite candy of all time, I collect the wrappers and love to snack on them). This lovely “B” has an overlapping bowl and counter around the midesction. Has art deco inflences with the weight and shape.

Where do the food scraps go? Why the compost of course! This letter “C” is from the large compost bin of our unit, the font is “Social Gothic Rough” with a grunge overlay, or that might just be natural scratches.
