Pax Christi Metro New York

43 rd Annual Good Friday Way of the Cross

Pax Christi Metro New York, the regional chapter of the Catholic Peace movement, is preparing for our 43rd Annual Good Friday Way of the Cross, praying the Stations of the Cross across 42nd Street in Manhattan. The Good Friday Way of the Cross is a modern-day enactment of the Stations of the Cross, and this year our focus is: “In a time of polarization and conflict, how do we follow the path of Jesus?” The Way of the Cross will begin at 8:30 AM in person at Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, across from the UN, on Friday, April 18 and will end around noon on West 42nd Street, near Holy Cross Church, between 8th and 9th Avenues.

Respect Life

40 Days for Life

March 5 – April 13

This life-saving prayer campaign is taking place at nine locations throughout the Archdiocese. It consists of forty days of prayer, fasting, and peaceful vigil at abortion facilities. For more information and to sign up to participate, visit bit.ly/ archny40daysforlife.

St. Joseph’s Seminary Summer Semester Registration is Open!

St. Joseph’s Seminary has announced the 2025 Summer semester course offerings for all graduate and certificate programs in Theology. With both in-person and online classes, students can learn from top scholars in Catholic Theology while balancing a busy schedule. Classes begin May 28 and run through July 11. Students can apply today and study this summer!

Men’s Lenten Retreat

Falling Into Hope: The Lenten Journey of Redemption by the Very Rev. Francis Belanger, OP We are God’s creatures but also inheritors of the Fall. Lent gives us the tools of prayer, fasting and almsgiving to rise up from our individual falls on the way to Resurrection. In this Jubilee year of Hope, we are drawn to the joy of redemption. There will be talks, discussion, Mass, adoration, confessions, and fellowship. Coffee, bagels and lunch are included. $25 to be paid at the time of registration. Open to all men 18 years and older. • Visit & support the sick and homebound, offering comfort and companionship.

• Honor caregivers by expressing gratitude and recognizing their essential role.

• Attend a Jubilee Mass to reflect on Jesus’ call to heal and accompany those who suffer.

Let’s be agents of God’s mercy, bringing hope and healing to those in need, especially during this Lenten season.
