MELBOURN VILLAGE COLLEGE Range of work on show

Art themes this term included Illuminated Lettering (Year 7), Collections including Robots and Sweets & Treats (Year 8) and Pop Art (Year 9).

Students have been doing research and mixed media work in lesson time and also rotating to pottery in small groups in Years 7 and 8, to be taught by Mrs Bryce. There the Year 7s have worked on letter pottery designs to go alongside artwork on Illuminated Manuscripts and Gemma Black Art Calligraphy work. Year 8 have been working on robot-based and sweets and treats pottery design and mixed media illustrations. Meanwhile, Year 9 looked at Pop Art research pages and completed observational drawings of cans. Year 10 have produced some amazing artwork on the subject of Faces of Humanity and Wonders of Nature. Enrichment classes with Mrs Ward have been using Acrylic to develop higher level skills for their Pop Art work.
