Columbia College Chicago’s Summer at Columbia program provides high school students with an introduction to life on a campus dedicated to preparing creative professionals.
IN THIS FOUR-WEEK PROGRAM, YOU’LL:
Participate in a program uniquely designed for high school students that pairs creative disciplines with a course in the business side of creativity.
Learn directly from leaders in creative industries
Meet and collaborate with like-minded peers and graduate mentors from around the world
Participate in industry-specific enrichment activities across Chicago
Study on Columbia’s campus in downtown Chicago
Gain hands-on classroom experience, while earning college credit that can be used toward your major should you choose to attend Columbia in the future
Summer at Columbia courses are taught by Columbia’s faculty of filmmakers, artists, designers, and other creative practitioners. They bring their experience as working professionals into the classroom every day.
Prior Summer at Columbia programs have included courses in Digital Music Production, Film Production, Game Development, Illustration, Photography, and Entrepreneurship for Creative Professionals.
