Stage set for musical guests at festival Westerville and central Ohio are home to many talented musicians performing a variety of styles and sounds. This year, the Chamber’s 41st Annual Music and Arts Festival is proud to present an electrifying lineup of performers. The Heartland Bank stage, located at the center of the festival outside the Everal Barn, will showcase the following performances.

Donna Mogavero Donna Mogavero Singer/songwriter Donna Mogavero has been an integral part of the Columbus music scene since the early ‘80’s. Her music is a mix of folk, blues, country and rock. She has released 3 original Cd’s of her own music and is currently working a 4th. Sponsored by Alliance Data. Westerville Symphony at Otterbein University The Westerville Symphony at Otterbein University inspires, educates, and enriches the lives of diverse audiences in central Ohio through the performance of exceptional symphonic music. The Symphony is made up of 80+ professional & semi-professional musicians and students from Otterbein University. The Symphony prides itself on being accessible to the greater community offering upwards of 6 free performances each year. Sponsored by Roush Honda. The Morgan After “The Morgan After” is a group of musical friends who gather once or twice a week to play a wide variety of music. Songs range from pop to rock to blues to folk with occasional forays into jazz. Most of the 18+ members of this group play guitar. However you will find flute, sax, drums, bass, banjo, percussion and keyboard in the mix. At this year’s Music & Arts Festival you will hear songs by the Eagles, Jethro Tull, and Eric Clapton music from Brazil, several original tunes and a touch of Sinatra. The Morgan After celebrates the joy of everyday people making great music together. It’s something you’ll want to see and hear! Sponsored by the Village at Westerville Retirement Center. Sarah Overdier Sarah Overdier began writing songs at age 14. She’s opened for Willie Nelson and was invited to sing at the White House in 2001. A Michigan native, she emotes a folk-pop style that has obvious influences from the rural North Country, and her new home, Columbus. She is also a member

of the all female group The Salty Caramels. Their full length album, Damn Good Woman was released in June. Sponsored by Roush Honda. The Select Phaze The Select Phaze is a three piece family band from Westerville. Members include Ed Obbish on drums and vocals, Eddy Obbish on guitar, harmonica and vocals and Bill Obbish on bass guitar. We play a wide variety of classic rock-n-roll covering artists such as the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Cream, Donovan and many more as well as original music. Avalon Nine Rock and Roots: Flavored with the sounds of San Francisco’s Avalon Ballroom and contemporary Americana, Avalon Nine serves up a fresh, but familiar sound. From folk rock to pop and Americana, they cover a lot of musical ground with rich vocal harmonies and a variety of instrumentation. Sponsored by My Jazz 94.1 FM.

Sarah Overdier R.U. Bound “R.U. Bound” is a trio of musicians who formed this band for one reason: a common love of traditional American music. Their music is rooted in the traditional songs and tunes of the Appalachian Mountains. They include bits of blues, ragtime, bluegrass, Missou fiddle music and original pieces! Sponsored by My Jazz 94.1 FM.

R.U. Bound Erika Hughes & The Well Mannered Erika Hughes & The Well Mannered is an original Americana band from Columbus, Ohio. Their sound is a distinctive combination of rock, country, blues and bluegrass that delightfully appeal to the senses. You can’t help dancing or tapping a toe to this gritty, foot-stomping sound. Erika’s original songs are filled with tales of broken hearts, adventure, life’s struggles and dreams. Her soulful voice brings life to her stories. Members of the band include Erika Hughes (Lead Vocals/Rhythm Guitar), Margot Baird (Back-up Vocals/ Percussion), Trevor Edge (Lead Guitar/Mandolin), Robin Brubaker (Upright Bass), and Shane Frye (Drums).

Erika Hughes & The Well Mannered

Highlights performing on the Heartland Bank Stage and Community Stage Blues Reveler The West Central Ohio-based band, Blues Reveler, is essentially Matt Keeler’s homage to American roots music. It consists of Matt’s brothers-in-law, Adam and Ben Thayer, and a loose collective of friends and acquaintances who occasionally sit in. In the beginning, the group was primarily devoted to guitar-driven acoustic blues and spirituals, with washboard and other homespun instruments thrown in for color. Since then Matt and the boys have ventured to add American string band music, ragtime, old-time fiddle tunes, Scots-Irish music, and some hokum and vaudeville numbers to their repertoire. They now incorporate a diverse host of instruments, including mandolin, banjo, washtub bass, hurdy gurdy, and most recently, the bagpipes. People, upon hearing Blues Reveler for the first time, often comment that the band’s music captures something “lost” or “forgotten”. Their sound has been described as “organic” and “diverse”. It transports people to a time when American music was young and rife for experimentation. Sponsored by Alliance Data.

Highlights performing on the Commun Genene Blackwell and Sam Shepherd Westerville residents and graduates of The Ohio State School for the Blind, Genene Blackwell and Sam Shepherd of InnerVision are life-long friends and lifelong musicians. Genene has been playing piano since she was three and Sam started singing as a toddler. They regularly entertain their audiences by putting a fresh InnerVision spin on timeless classics and standards as well as current favorites: from Duke Ellington to Nat King Cole to Sam Cooke to Sinatra to Buddy Holly Genene Blackwell and to John Legend. Their eclectic set lists Sam Shepherd include blues, jazz, oldies, patriotic, and pop. Throw in a little harmonica, a little two-part harmony, a little guitar, and a little trombone and you have a listening experience that you will not soon forget! Prepare to be inspired.

Lords of L For the have been new level. band, with Westerville best rock, the past 50

JD Eicher JD Eicher, of the band, JD Eicher & the Goodnights, will be playing two sets of solo acoustic music at the event. Festival goers can expect to hear a dynamic variety of original songs and popular covers by acts like The Beatles, Tom Petty, Coldplay, Tracy Chapman, and more. Eicher has been on the road, both solo and with the full band, touring in support of their new record, Into Place (released through the Rock Ridge Music label - Warner/ADA).
