Old Worthington Market Day | Thursday, September 11, 2014

ThisWeekNews.com

Market Day tradition continues in downtown Worthington on Sept. 13 Market Day – an annual day-long festival presented by the Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce — returns to the streets of downtown Worthington on Saturday, Sept. 13.  Along High Street (US 23), from SR 161 south to South Street, you’ll find a colorful array of arts and crafts, food and farm vendors, community group exhibits and family fun.  Be sure to sample all that Market Day has to offer, including: • Approximately 200 arts and crafts vendors, community groups and downtown merchants. Vendor booths are open 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., rain or shine. Use this guide to find alphabetic listings of the exhibitors, arranged by category (sponsors, arts and crafts vendors, community groups, food and farm vendors, and restaurant concessions). The booth number of each vendor precedes the alphabetic listing. The map on page 4 can help you locate the booths. • Snacks and meals from area restaurants, farms and food concessionaires. Most snack concessions are located at the north end of the vendor area, with restaurants

and food trucks near the south end. Although Worthington’s weekly Farmers Market is closed on Market Day, you’ll find selected farm-fresh products from Farmers Market vendors among the Market Day exhibitors. • A spot to relax and refresh. AAA Ohio Auto Club, a presenting sponsor of Market Day 2014, provides a welcoming place to relax, the AAA Hospitality Center on W. New England Avenue near its intersection with High Street. (See the related story on page 3). • Product demonstrations, giveaways and information, and family activities, provided at many of the community and school group booths and the sponsor exhibits. • Local charm and hospitality. Many of Worthington’s unique downtown shops offer special sales or seasonal merchandise for Market Day shoppers. Tempting treats are available at downtown restaurants.
