Chamber merger is official The newly-formed Tri-Village Chamber Partnership, made up of the former Grandview, Marble Cliff and Upper Arlington Chambers of Commerce, is off and running. In the fourth quarter of 2015, discussions were started between the chambers to collaborate and join forces. A few busy months later, the official merger became effective February 1, 2016. 6th Annual Digfest Booze. Tunes. Food.
The best party in town is set for Saturday, June 11 from 4 to 10:30 p.m. at the Grandview Yard. There are a few changes this year that should make the party even better. With the completion of the 2.5 acre park on W. First Ave. between Bobcat and Yard streets, the physical location of the event will have a cozier feel. “There’s a beautiful space that will be the centerpiece of Dig this year,” says Dakota Russell, Communications & Events Manager for the Tri-Village Chamber Partnership. In the past, the event has stretched along Yard Street from Goodale to Burr. The band and stage was at the far south end of the event and as the event grew over last few years, there really wasn’t a better place to have the music more centralized. “This year, the stage will be toward the west end of the new park, but the way the vendors surround the park will make the sound distribution more even.” And, patrons to the event can hang out on the grassy area in the middle and enjoy the music, have a place to sit or hang out in between samplings.

This year, the stage will be toward the west end of the new park, but the way the vendors surround the park will make the sound distribution more even.” — Dakota Russell Communications & Events Manager, Tri-Village Chamber Partnership “We anticipate just as many vendors as previous years with wide and varied craft brewers from around the state, the same few wineries who have been on hand since the first Digfest in 2011, and our selection of distilleries continues to grow,” said Michelle Wilson, Executive Director of
the Tri-Village Chamber Partnership. “It’s exciting from year to year to see who’s new to the Ohio craft beverage scene, and bring them into the fold. We love promoting these microbusinesses.” Our headline band this year will be Angela Pearly and the Howlin’ Moons. The remaining band lineup has yet to be announced. The Columbus Craft Beer Alliance will again offer special firkin tappings in partnership with some of the local breweries. This is a great opportunity to be among the first and few to taste small batch crafts in addition to all of the other great offerings at the festival. Stay in touch with the event and find out who’s added to the beverage, food, retail and entertainment line-up as they come in by following the event on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, as well as the event’s webpage, www. grandviewdigfest.com. The Grandview Digfest is hosted by the Tri-Village Chamber Partnership.
