SUMMARY OF ITEMS: 1.

2010 POST AUDIT The 2010 audit has been once again completed by the City’s auditors’, Julian & Grube Inc. Highlights from the 2010 audit as follows: ●

This was the second year the City prepared a Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) and received an unqualified audit opinion, the “best” opinion an entity may receive over its financial statements.

There were no material weaknesses, significant deficiencies, or control deficiencies associated with internal controls (i.e. the City did not have recommendations or noncompliance citations in 2010).

There were no identified noncompliance citations in accordance with the Ohio Revised Code, debt covenants, agreements, or other matters which require the attention of management.

The total net assets of the City increased $2,430,822. Net assets of governmental activities increased $2,983,442 or 32.86%. Net assets of business-type decreased $552,620 or 9.51% over 2009.

The general fund had revenues of $1,936,321 in 2010. This represents an increase of $186,276 from 2009 revenues. The expenditures and other financing uses of the general fund, which totaled $1,451,394 in 2010, increased $159,383 from 2009. The net increase in fund balance for the general fund was $484,927 or 40.36%

The street fund had revenues of $1,070,190 in 2010, which is an increase of $379,528 from 2009 revenues. The expenditures in the street fund totaled $1,041,144 in 2010, which increased $282,955 from 2009. The net increase in fund balance was $29,046 or 4.09%

The water fund cash position decreased $619,497 to $801,871 while the sewer fund cash position decreased $350,157 to $1,509,107 at December 31, 2010.
