The next Hilliard Chamber Luncheon will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 24 at the Courtyard by Marriott Columbus West on 2350 Westbelt Drive. A representative from the Franklinton Tutoring Program will be speaking on volunteer tutoring opportunities within the Hilliard City School District. This luncheon is open to the public. In its sixth year, this tutoring program has now expanded to the Hilliard City School District and would not exist without the willingness and

compassion of volunteers to come and tutor students in reading. Students give up having recess and lunch with their peers, for one day a week, to meet with an adult volunteer tutor. And they love it! The program works with teachers and staff to not only improve a child’s comprehension, fluency, and pronunciation, but to provide a positive and caring relationship. The Beacon Elementary School Tutoring Program would like to offer you a chance to learn more about this program and how it will make an impact
