Important Notice from Hilliard Schools You may have heard that the tour company the Hilliard Schools has used for many years to take students to Washington D.C. filed for bankruptcy recently. Sadly, this was just after our families made their payments for the October 2018 school year. While we know many families are working through their credit card and banking institutions to be reimbursed, we know some won’t be able to get their money back. We also know that close to 25 percent of our students are in the free and reduced lunch program and unable to afford this trip. We are partnering with the Hilliard Area Chamber of Commerce and the Hilliard Education Foundation to ask our community business partners to help sponsor scholarships for our students in need. The trip cost is $390 per student. If you are willing to help, you can make a donation through the Hilliard Education Foundation’s web page, www. hilliardeducationfoundation.org The donations are tax deductible and will send more students on this trip of a lifetime. If you have questions please email Stacie Raterman at Stacie_Raterman@hboe.org
We celebrated the opening of PrideStaff at their location at 2471 Hilliard Rome Road in the Silverhorn Shopping Center. Bill Gross, local owner of this franchise, lives in Hilliard with his family.
