Renovations come with a lot of decision-making, so you should choose a company you feel comfortable with. Are there new furniture categories that address the changing times? Yes! Take, for example, the Gathering Island, designed and patented by Stickley. As formal dining rooms are disappearing, the concept of the Gathering Island addresses the need for a family to unite or for entertaining, while being multifunctional. The table boasts two surfaces of different heights; one butts up to the back of a sofa as a place to rest a book or a glass, while the other can be used with stools as a work space or for entertaining.
