Brittany Hinton of the 2007 women’s softball team, scrambles over Maci Haughn of the 2010 team to get to third base during their championship game in the Women’s A division of the Grove City High School Alumni tournament at Fryer Park, July 29, 2012. When the dust cleared Hinton was safe, but the 2010 team won the game. This was the third year in the row that the 2010 team came out on top. The two day tournament is considered the world’s largest alumni softball tournament. Ninety five teams, approximately 1,425 men and women played in 184 games last year in the 30th anniversary of the annual event. (Dispatch photo by Neal C. Lauron)

Jacked Up to perform at Homecoming Celebration Jacked Up featuring all of today’s country music favorites will perform live Friday night from 7 to 10 p.m at the City of Grove City Homecoming Celebration. During the concert, the band will take a 30-minute break, at which time announcements will be made for the softball tournament Grove City High School Hall of Fame induction ceremony from 8:15-8:30 p.m. Jacked Up has continuously been recognized as the new standard for hard-hitting country rock throughout central Ohio and the Midwest. High energy, dynamic vocals, driving rock and mountain soul are just a few of the words that describe what this group has to offer. Jacked Up has shared
the stage with country legends such as Tracy Byrd and David Allen Coe, and are currently performing along side Nashville’s hottest new artists like Craig Morgan, Gretchen Wilson, Billy Currington and Chris Cagle to name a few. Seven unique musical personalities have all come together to give Jacked Up a one-of-a-kind fusion of sound and style, making them popular with both country fans and non-country fans alike. Although they are based out of Columbus, Ohio, Jacked Up continues to attract more fans everywhere they perform. Their voices, personalities, vibrant energy, and solid instrumentation have made this band a top act at every venue.
