Glenwood provides warm, caring environment At Glenwood, we are committed to being the leader in providing quality personal services for our residents, while honoring the experience of aging. We believe “Meaningful Moment” experiences often define who we are, and they are enhanced by those who surround us. Our specially designed communities for those with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias offer personalized care for the uniqueness for each resident. We join our residents in their dementia journey through our “Meaningful Moments” philosophy and delivery of care program. We focus on care and support to our residents’ needs by understanding dementia and the ever changing impact it has on their ability to understand their world. We must also know each resident’s unique life story in order to create moments that are meaningful to them
personally. We strive to provide a warm, caring and supportive environment where residents can experience daily routines and familiar faces. Our programs are designed to add meaning and value to their lives and help them feel secure in their environment. Throughout their stay with us, our resident’s health and well-being will be a shared concern among their family, friends and our knowledgeable staff. As partners in care we will work together to build a plan that supports their independence and provides them with the sense of belonging that is so important to all of us. Imagine snapping your fingers and like magic, all of your VHS tapes and film reels are preserved forever. These precious memories can be converted to DVDs, put on a flash drive, or even uploaded to a private YouTube channel for friends and relatives to view. Dublin native Mark Mahaffey founded mtek media in 2006 when he was 15 years old. He thought the business would only be around a few years, and even he is amazed that 11 years later, the company is having a recordbreaking year. According to Mahaffey, most customers come in and have a grocery sack full of VHS tapes, but no equipment to play them on. They realize these tapes go bad after about 15 years and if they don’t do something, those special memories will be lost forever. At $13 per tape, it is much cheaper than other alternatives. Mahaffey opened mtek media’s office in historic Dublin in 2010, and business has grown year after year. What happens when there are no more tapes left to convert? Mahaffey explained that he doesn’t think it will be in the next few years. However, always planning for the future, mtek just launched a
new business called photos in the mail (photosinthemail.com), which is not an app, but an easy way to get high-quality prints of images delivered to you in the mail each month. For a monthly fee, you take a picture, send an email to photos@ photosinthemail.com, and get your pictures in the mail by the 10th of the following month. mtek-media.com photosinthemail.com

Something new every day at Aquarium Adventure Aquarium Adventure in Hilliard showcases the largest and best selection of tropical, marine, and pond fish in the country. This 11,000-square-foot aquarium superstore features a huge variety of aquariums, aquarium furniture and supplies. The fish, invertebrates and plants are presented in aquarium displays that are entertaining and educational. The store layout conveys to shoppers
food & wine
and visitors the wonders and benefits of having an aquarium in your home or place of business. Aquarium Adventure was designed with families and professionals in mind. This showplace is a fun place to visit and explore our aquatic world. Travel from continent to continent and see fish and invertebrates indigenous to the lakes, rivers, streams and oceans located throughout the
world. The best part, when you finish your journey you can opt to take home your own ecosystem. At Aquarium Adventure we offer everything from starter kits to full custom installation. Whether you already have an aquarium or are considering one, we can offer professional advice on all aspects of your system. Let our staff help you with everything from plumbing
and electric to water conditions and questions about the care of your fish. With custom installations we coordinate everything from the design and architecture through engineering and construction. We also offer complete maintenance of your system including cleaning and stocking of new fish and supplies. Rest assured, we’ll be there when needed. Owner Bill Wymard set up his first aquarium at the age of 10. He had no idea that several decades later he would be keeping more than 500 aquariums. He had no idea he would still have the same passion and enthusiasm for fish that he did when he was so young. With a degree in marine biology and an excitement about all things fish, it just seemed natural that the two would blend to make his lifelong dream come true. He wanted to build the biggest and best aquarium store in the country. With the help of his wife Sandy, many talented, supportive friends and family members, Aquarium Adventure in June 1997 opened its doors to rave reviews in Columbus.
Expand your tastes!
www.aquariumadventurecolumbus.com Sandy Wymard’s experience in retail management, design and merchandising allow this husband and wife team to do what they both enjoy. They are quick to give the credit of their success to the many people who have helped them along the way, especially their knowledgeable, talented, sincere and long-term associates at the store. They will tell you that they learn something new every day at Aquarium Adventure, and the openness to learning new things energizes them. We pride ourselves in having the widest selection of healthy fish, corals and plants. Our staff biologists check the
health of all our aquatic life. This ensures that our fish, no matter where they’re from, are as beautiful and healthy as they would be in the wild. Aquarium Adventure believes that all underwater worlds hold great fascination, splendor and knowledge. Their hope is that you will too. “Because we must responsibly coexist with our world, we are committed to understanding and enriching the knowledge of our aquatic eco-systems through education and guidance to ensure the preservation of our hobby and our environment.” Bill Wymard Marine Biologist Aquarium Adventure
