J.A.Z. Dance & More junior tap group wins big in Virginia beach!
J.A.Z. Dance & More is starting its 22nd year in business this September. We offer tap, jazz, hip hop, ballet, lyrical, tumbling, combination, competition, Zumba and, new for this year, POP pilates. We are located in Reynoldsburg at 7354 French Drive. We offer classes for children 2 1/2 years through adults, beginning through advanced levels, and for boys and girls. We have seven teachers on our staff, and four classrooms with viewing windows. All of our dancers perform in our annual spring recital. We have many students who dance just for the fun of it, and also many more serious dancers that attend competitions and do local shows. Our competition group attended three local competitions, and in July traveled to Virginia Beach for World Class Talent Experience Nationals. We won many awesome awards with the highlight of four groups and two soloist being selected to dance in the elite event at the end of the week. Our junior tap group won in their age group, $400 and a trophy as big as them. We are so proud of all of our dancers! Our competition groups travel every other year and it is a great team bonding trip for the students and families.This year our competition tryouts will be held
the week of August 28. Dance class not only teaches children how to dance, but it is great exercise, teaches self confidence, discipline, creates selfesteem, and also helps with social skills. We strive to be more than a dance school; we want to be an extended family.
We have two open houses this year where you can meet the teachers and see the facility. Sunday, Aug. 28 from 2 to 5 p.m. and Tuesday, Aug. 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. Fall classes start Tuesday, Sept. 6. Our Zumba classes are a fun way to exercise! We offer classes
Mondays and Wednesdays at 7:15 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:15 a.m. and Saturday mornings at 8:45 a.m. (starting Saturday, Sept. 10). It is drop-in, no registration required and costs only $5 per class or we sell a 10 class punch card for $35. Some of our dancers will be
performing Saturday, Aug. 20 at 10 a.m. at the Tomato Festival and we will have a booth in the business tent if you would like to ask any questions.
