Building Dreams — Chamber hosts successful 34th Annual Auction Money raised to fund educational scholarships through new Grove City Chamber Foundation A beautifully decorated Ballroom at the Pinnacle Golf Club was the background to a magical night on Nov. 10, as the Grove City Chamber of Commerce hosted its 34th Annual Auction presented by Meyers Jewelers. Live music, silent and live auctions along with a delicious meal made this event one of the most enjoyable of the year for the Chamber. All of the money raised at this year’s auction goes directly to the newly created Grove City Chamber Foundation, a 501(c)(3) that is used to fund educational scholarships. “Once again by all accounts the Annual Auction was a success due to all of our members and the donations that we received,” said Darlene Murphy,

Chamber President, who also gave the welcome speech at the event. “This will allow the Grove City Chamber Foundation to award scholarships to deserving students in the Grove City Area who plan to pursue a career in business.” Silent auctions items included everything from
Columbus Crew tickets to a membership at the YMCA, and live auction items included a tour of the Ohio Capitol building with Ohio Representative Cheryl Grossman. Raffle tickets were sold for a chance to win a Ladies Movado watch, donated by Presenting Sponsor Myers Jewelers.
Entertainment was provided by Roger Dearwester and Tracy Carter. Dearwester also served as the Auctioneer for the live auction. Dancing and socializing followed dinner. Many thanks to all of our sponsors, the Auction Planning Committee and all of the volunteers for helping make this year’s auction a night to remember.
