The Value of Hilliard Chamber membership — $10,000 worth! One of our new members, The Toasted Oat, just received $10,000 to put toward her new business by acting on information that Hilliard Chamber President/CEO Libby Gierach shared at a networking event! The Business Pitch Competition was part of the Small Business Convention which was held the end of October at the Kalahari Resort in Sandusky, Ohio. The Hilliard Chamber was a cosponsor of this convention. Erika Boll, owner of The Toasted Oat, entered her business into the competition. She had to prepare a video, submit her business plan, and go through different rounds of judging to be one of the four finalists out of 70 businesses who applied. The final night of competition was a 15-minute presentation in front of hundreds of attendees and a panel of four judges who asked tough questions of each of the finalists. The emcee of the event was Jeff Hoffman, co-founder and CEO in the Priceline. com family of companies. The Toasted Oat

Not only is Erika a chamber member, but her mother is also a chamber member, Carole Kelley, DDS of Hilliard Dental Associates. It was Carole who attended our Morning Business Networking Exchange at
