BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT

Dot’s Tots Foundation – Hilliard based charity making a difference! For the better part of a decade, Hilliard resident, Ashley Warnock, has served the needs of local youth. She worked as a Children’s Services caseworker and for a firm contracted to run group homes for underprivileged teens. Now a homemaker, Ashley wanted to continue helping children. In 2012, she and her husband, Andy, founded Dot’s Tots Foundation. The name of the Foundation is in honor of Andy’s late grandmother, DorthA, a lifelong educator and constant provider of guidance, support and love. Through Ashley’s work in the foster care arena, she realized the scarce resources foster parents are provided to care for their growing families. Foster parents sacrifice

their own wants to provide for less fortunate children. Dot’s Tots is equipped to raise up these families. In addition, Dot’s will provide support for families whose children are recovering from—or battling—serious disease, traumatic injury, and/or lifethreatening illness. Finally, Dot’s will provide annual scholarships to graduating high school seniors to help offset the rising costs of college tuition. As identified in the Articles of Incorporation, the purpose of Dot’s is to provide support to: • families providing foster care; • children with debilitating disease, injury and/or illness; • and teenagers in their higher educational pursuits Foundation leadership

looks at the charity as a three legged stool. While broad, the three pillars of Dot’s are linked together in empowering families, offering hope, and providing love and support. By year end, Dot’s Tots should eclipse $125,000 in total revenue. Those monies have covered lost wages for families caring for pediatric cancer patients, shopping sprees for new foster parents, a toy drive for Nationwide Children’s Hospital, lawncare services for a family enduring their three year old’s kidney transplant, luggage for foster children, a service dog to aid autistic twins and more! To learn about Dot’s Tots Foundation or to support their efforts, please visit: www.DotsTots.org.

Dot’s Tots Foundation Executive Director, Ashley Warnock, and her husband, Andy (Chairman of the Board) present Carrie Beebe and her family with $8,162.00 during the first leg of the 1st Annual Old Hilliard Harbinger of Hope pub crawl. The monies raised will cover costs for a trained autism support dog for Carrie’s twin boys.
