How to hire superior talent We are pleased to have Bryan Driscoll, Driscoll Learning, come to our October 17 luncheon to talk about selecting superior performers. Businesses today are challenged to find better ways to secure the right talent for success. But what talent does a job require for superior performance? Only the JOB has the answer, so let the job talk and listen carefully. Some of the items that will be explored are: • BIAS The #1 challenge in the selection process. • What three attributes are key to any job

Bryan Driscoll speaker for Oct. Luncheon event.

• IQ vs. EQ (emotional intelligence) • Why failure to use assessments as part of our hiring or screening process limits the ability to accurately select superior performers. • Improve the selection process and reduce turnover through job

benchmarking. • Why do we tend to hire for skills and fire for attitude? The luncheon will be held at Heritage Golf Club, 3525 Heritage Club Drive, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. This luncheon is sponsored by Cate’s Steak and Barbecue. Please RSVP via the website or by calling the chamber office at (614) 876-7666. We ask for payment at the time you make your reservation.
