The 20th Annual Taste of UA – sure to be the best Taste yet What started as a small summer food festival held in the Tremont Center parking lot in 1993 has grown into Upper Arlington’s premier summer festival located at Northam Park. As we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Taste of UA, highlights for this year include great music from our music sponsor Vaughan Music Studios and the Ohio Craft Beer Garten sponsored by The
Daily Growler. Exciting this year is the fact that the Beer Garten will be located across from the music stage within the confines of Northam Park. While there will be new food and business vendors and bands at this year’s Taste, the festival will also include the annual food contest in which all food vendors are invited to participate. Once again, the Buckeye
Mobile Tour will bring the “Buckeye Experience” to the Taste by providing interactive games and inflatables that can be enjoyed by the whole family. “2012 was special because it kicked off the new “local music” component for the Taste of UA…With the help of our major 2012 sponsor, Vaughan Music Studios, we were able to provide professional sound,
stage management and a welcome environment where young children and adults could talk with professionals about learning how to play an instrument, sing and even launch their music career in Upper Arlington. Economic development and community development go hand in hand. The “local music” component of The Taste of UA is just another example of how the Chamber is bringing business and community together in search of economic growth,” said Doug Ryan, Douglas Real Estate and past board chair of the UA Chamber. Do you want to be a food judge at the 2013 Taste of UA? be notified on Thursday, August 1. The competition winner will join a panel of celebrity food judges to taste and judge the food submitted by participating Taste of UA vendors in three judging categories: appetizer, entrée and dessert.

The Upper Arlington Area Chamber of Commerce needs adult and student volunteers to help wth this year’s Taste of UA at Northam Park. Volunteers are needed to work on the day of the Taste in either of the 3 scheduled shifts between 9 a.m. and 10:30 p.m.
