UA Chamber’s 3rd annual Community Marketplace event an overwhelming success for the community The UA Chamber’s 3rd annual Community Marketplace event was a great success connecting the residents of Upper Arlington with local businesses. The Chamber is grateful to our sponsors for their support of this event. Sponsors include: Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Coldwell Banker King Thompson, National Church Residences at First Community Village, The Arlington Bank, K Studio and Tom and Jerry’s Automotive Repair. Held on Saturday, May 4, the oneday event encouraged the promotion and support of the Upper Arlington business community, entrepreneurial spirit and community awareness. Fiftytwo UA residents held yard sales this year and reported increased attendance from the 2012 event. This cooperative effort also encouraged residents to reinvest a portion of the proceeds

back into the community by shopping or dining at one of our local businesses the weekend of the event. Area retailer participation doubled this year to 31 participants. Many of the retailers offered coupons to encourage shoppers to take advantage of all of the great sales throughout the community. Check out the Chamber’s website www. uachamber.org to view a list of participating retailers, many of whom still have coupons available for use. “The marketplace event was an
outstanding success for the Chamber. So many of our local retailers, members and non-members alike, participated this year and offered great deals to shoppers. Shoppers are lucky that they can still take advantage of some of the deals by checking out the coupons on our website. We are so excited to see this event grow and hope that next year we have even greater participation,” said Debbie Segor, UA Chamber membership director.
