May Chamber Breakfast On Friday, May 16, please join us for breakfast at 8 a.m. at the Heritage Golf Club. Columbus 2020 Chief Economic Officer Kenny McDonald will share how the Columbus Region is rising to be one of the top economies in the U.S. McDonald serves as the primary leader of all economic development and business attraction efforts for the 11-county Columbus Region in his position as Chief Economic Officer of Columbus 2020. McDonald has an extensive background in site selection, regional economic development, community marketing, business recruitment and international
business development. This breakfast is sponsored by Mill Run Gardens & Care Center. This is open to the public and reservations are required and need to be made by Tuesday, May 13. The Toasted Oat wins 2014 Excellence in Entrepreneurship Award We are excited to congratulate The Toasted Oat for being named the recipient of the Excellence in Entrepreneurship Award by the Ohio Chamber of Commerce at its annual meeting. The Hilliard Area Chamber
of Commerce nominated Erika Boll’s company and it was one of the three finalists announced at the meeting. Upon winning the award, The Toasted Oat was presented a check for $25,000!
Taste of Hilliard & Business Expo sponsorships available now! We are starting to make great progress on this event to be held on Wednesday, August 6 at the Makoy Center from 4:30-7:30 p.m. We will feature our area restaurants and our businesses at the same time. Sponsors at the Platinum and Gold level can secure their booth spaces now to ensure that a space is reserved. The booths have sold out each of the past four years. Central Ohio Professional Education Council (COPEC) is providing the community a personal development workshop on Saturday, May 17 at Indiana Wesleyan University in Hilliard from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The workshop that was held in February was such a success that there will be three more held this year. Choose from one to five classes which is complimentary for all Hilliard Chamber members. The Hilliard Area Chamber of Commerce recognizes the value of providing quality programming for our members.
