A Taste of Grove City & Business Expo successful in its 5th year Food and business vendors alike were able to showcase their excellent products to the community at this year’s Taste of Grove City and Business Expo. Thank you to our sponsors, Telhio Credit Union and Your Neighborhood Networking Group. More than 700 people attended the event, which raised more than $2,500 for the Grove City Food Pantry. Congratulations to Best Overall Winners, Cronies Coney Café and Best Pizza Tammy’s Pizza. Students earn college credits while in high school How does a high school student gain real-world experience as well as the opportunity to earn college credits? The answer is through SouthWestern City School District’s Career-Technical programs. Career-Technical programs prepare students with skill sets to enter today’s workforce ready to succeed and advance in their chosen career field. Students enrolled in the Accounting and Finance, Automotive, Business and Administrative Services, Construction Technologies, Cosmetology, Culinary Arts, Dental Assisting, Early Child-

hood Education, Health Technologies, Interactive Media Design, Marketing Technology, Materials Joining, Pre-Engineering, Public Relations and Event Management Career-Technical programs have the opportunity to earn college credits with Columbus State Community College while participating in high school programs. Career-Technical Education in the SouthWestern City School District provides students the best of both worlds— preparation for the workforce and the ability to earn college credits at the same time.
